Great info i have so many adapters lol i just put one on each end but i have changed almost everything over to xt60 after years of owning many different brands i have come to love xt60 also deans plugs are only rated for 50amp where xt60 are rated for 60amp that sawback looks awesome i will be waiting for that fpv ride💯👊👍😀

I had no idea about the AMP rating was different for the XT60 and the Dean's... thanks for pointing that out. Like you i am now a big XT60/XT90 fan, but I do have a Dean's or two attached to something here for sure. Many thanks for the great comment..!!

Hey man, very informative videos!! I’m building a rc shrimp boat and I’m using a Toyan 2 cylinder, 4-stroke nitro engine. I’ve installed a F.N.R. gearbox as well. I purchased the 6-channel Radiolink that comes with the 7-channel receiving, as I’ll need at least 5 or 6 channels from the outset. Anyway, I’ve had a lot of trouble setting up my receiver, and I suspect it might be due to the fact that I’m not running it through an E.S.C. What are your thoughts on that? I know your main focus is electric cars, trucks, crawlers, but I would greatly appreciate any advise regarding my situation. I’m just now getting back into RC, and things have changed a great deal since I was racing my Team Associated RC-10 in the late 80s!!! Thank you so much!!!

Hi great info, tyvm for that... I have a noob question, I bought a radio link transmitter just like yours. I’m already in the process of changing the connectors on my batteries, so could I wife telemetry connectors right into my battery cable?.
@AMAZINGRC
3 жыл бұрын
Sure, if done correctly of course. You could hard wire the connector in line with the battery. You will have to watch it closely during charging for the first time. The charger may be able to tell that the battery was tampered with and reject it. But if you gave enough batteries to play with, it may be pretty cool im always skipping connectors when possible. Keep me posted on that. Thanks for the great comment.!

Great job on tel-cable Bry! Here’s a challenge for ya bud, if you’re up for it, and want a project? •IC3 & IC5 are spectrums “smart” battery connectors. They’ll connect with EC3 & EC5 but the “Smart” tech won’t work. Can you come up with a way to customize ether or both EC3/EC5 to make the contacts necessary for the smart tech to work? It looks like it’s just another power connection (2 contacts)? Great content and channel anyways dude!👌🤘🍻 Have fun sneaking up on your bud next door!

I am always up for a challenge..!! And learning something new is my thing so I will jump on the Google train and see what I can find out. I am unfamiliar with these plugs so it will be an adventure. I will keep you posted and let you know what I find out. I had no idea up until just a short while ago that most of the Traxxas plugs fit inside one another. I am also just now learning the deal with replaceable antenna wires. These R7FG antennas are replaceable. Some Spektrum receivers as well. Cool stuff, keep you posted.!

I do have to ask.... WHY not just convert the Sawback to XT60s?? I see your point, in that it gave a reason to make a Video, describing how to make the adapter Plug for those who need the instructions.... On the same note, you should do one on how to convert your Rig's Plugs. I believe that would be useful as well. 😉 Carmine ✈🚂🚙
@AMAZINGRC

You make a good point. Let's say that you have 6 rc cars and they all use Dean's plugs. You have two batteries that you cycle through all 6 cars. I, in that situation would go for the adapter. Aw hell Carmine, someone out there needs this video..!! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 I'm just teasing.!! You make a really good point my friend. Many thanks for sharing it.!😎👍🏆🏎

@@sickduck66 ok, pretty close to the same battery setup. I believe that the batteries are funneled into one lead pre-ESC.?? If so, you would need to get into the line post-Y to the ESC. In between the Y and the ESC. Create a spot for this to be installed in line. And able to be reconnected when not in use. Let me know if I sound crazy cakes..!! 🤣

How do I use a my telemetry cable on my Ic 5 on my arrma typhon 6s blx v5
@AMAZINGRC
Жыл бұрын
Sounds like you need to make a custom adapter. Just follow this video and replace the plugs that you see in the video for the corresponding plugs for your car. The basic setup still works for other applications. If you are using a different Radio other than the RadioLink that I have here be sure to check that the radio setup you have supports this telemetry. Research what that specific adapter looks like and attempt to copy it. Hope thos helps. 😊

Actually you can just resolder the positive wire to your ecs positive, you don't even need the negative wire. Just splice a small spot on your ESC positive wire, and solder it on... Period. You don't need any of the plugs. Thank me later. Great video
