In case you still need a quicker way for this, 21:39, all notes selected, Hold Opt and drag the velocity bar in the piano roll all the way to 127. Makes all the notes 127 then dial it down to whatever value you need them to be and they'll all be the same. If you figured out an even quicker way then would love to know about it. Hope this helps. And thank you for this walkthrough video Daniel. It's really helpful!

Hey Daniel, was still questioning that DISTORTED LONG patch you used. Where is it located/from which library...? Many thanks.

You're using a patch named DISTORTED LONG and it looks like it's from Audio Imperia's Photosynthesis Mystic. I have that library, and can not locate that patch. It is a very awesome sound but I can't locate it. Can you please share with me where it is...(??)

@@jaythansparksmusic I had a similar issue. He says mystic but the color of the UI looks more like Sphere... and I still can't find it. With a straightforward name like "Distorted Long" it might be something he created from an existing patch and re-saved.

To those who took the course, could you please share your experience? I am looking for a dedicated trailer course. I took Evenant's trailer course but it wasn't so strong. The epic soundtrack courses were better. And not only sharing your experience, share the tracks you wrote after the course. I wanna make sure the course works.

It is very good. But I just started a new course that is even better but more expensive. I don’t think you can go wrong with this course. It drags on in several places and gets monotonous, but he doesn’t in real time instead of editing out the slow parts. But it is a really good course.

Just about to Give up on writing altogether from frustration. No matter what I do all my instruments sound weak and thin straight out of the box. Even before processing. I have all the same plugins and Just the piano, mystic and low strings at the start sound 20× bigger and fuller than anything I've ever recorded. I just dont get it. Was going to sign up for the trailer course as it seems extremely interesting but until I sort out these issues theres no point. Volume is super quiet and everything sounds like it has a veil over it or "covered" like not present. So annoying.

Layering and saturation in group tracks is your friend. Put it on group busses and see what result you get.

Thank you. Could you explain more? Adding saturation to a group bus will help? I never tried it

@@SeanRooneyMusic add saturation (aka distortion) everywhere. on every track and on every bus and on the master.

@@SeanRooneyMusic I'm no expert but what I understood was that distortion is basically clipping. By using saturation/distortion at the end of each effect chain you are in control of limiting peaks. Since you clipped the peaks you can push each track louder without clipping somewhere else down the line. With the peak limiting I think subtlety is what you are after, you don't want that obviously distorted sound. But you can use the same method and clip even harder and try different distortion (saturation) settings/plug-ins to add more audible distortion to make your sounds bigger and fuller as you described. I would assume that two weak sounding layers going through some distortion isn't going to sound so weak. You can also think about tape and tube distortion and how people like that type of distortion.
