Hello! Local Lancaster mama here! We had HORRIBLE issues with beatles and I was discussing it with an Amish friend of ours and she asked if we knew of Shaklee which is who I use their non toxic cleaning products so I knew exactly what she was talking about. But she said take 1-2 tablespoons of Basic H and put it in a gallon of water. Water your plants when you transplant them or they start sprouting. If you notice bugs and beatles down the road water again with the solution. So far we've had GREAT success with this trick. You can find Shaklee products at a lot of the local Amish grocery stores. We're on the southern end so it seems we have one in every small town. Praying you have success!! I just want to also say that you have been a light in some very dark seasons recently. Thank you for your love for Lord!

I love Basic H!! My grandma and parents have used it for years. I actually called Shaklee today - I used to be able to get it on Amazon but no longer. Need to buy from them directly now. Shipping is a bit pricey. That is so nice you can find it locally!!

@@Livingwater810 I typically order straight from Shaklee. I agree shipping can be pricey but I try to make my orders worth it. So I only order every other month or more. Our local Amish stores are great for things that shaklee has on back order or currently out of stock. I will say signing up for shaklee I accumulate points fairly quickly and so I've received a number of full size free gifts and I can't say I've hated one of them so far. We use their laundry soap, stain booster, dishwasher powder, plant protein, some supplements and few others. I definitely can't speak highly enough about them.

Steph, if you have tall tomatoes, what I do is, make a trench in the dirt, lay your tomato plant in the trench and cover the roots and stems with dirt, just leaving the top of your plant exposed. Makes the plant more stable.

Great to see you working so hard to get your garden in...and remember you can plant tomatoes really deeply on their stem so that most of the stem is underground and the top leaves are up showing at the soil line. They will root along the stem, same with broccoli plants

Hello from Indiana! I look forward to a new video each week! You're such a breath of fresh air. Your transparency and optimism, coupled with your values and lifestyle, help shape my perspective on hard days. Anyway, we usually plant about 6 to 8 tomato plants. We don't garden even close to your scale, but we also get around an additional 10-12 volunteer tomato plants each year, and I just let them grow wild and chaotically, but they bear a ton of fruit!

Cucumber beetles are the very reason I switched cucumber varieties. I now ONLY plant Corentine Hybrid cucumbers, they are a 45 day cucumber which means they are much bigger by the time the beetles come around, and they are crazy prolific producers, so beetles don't have much on them.

Love watching your videos - this time the gardening especially! We are just starting garden season here in WI. When we had our farm we grew 75 tomato plants one year 🤪 We canned SO much salsa and diced tomatoes that year - it was amazing! We are still in the country, but do everything smaller - so it’s seven tomato plants this year ☺️ We do expand our garden every year and I already have plans for next year - don’t tell my hubby 😂😂 I cannot believe how big William already is! Such a beautiful family ❤️❤️

Hello my dear. Lil something to share when making a meatloaf is i always add 2 parts beef and one part pork sausage. Also for kids i use cupcake tins and roll them into balls and in the middle of the balls i put little chunk of cheese whatever i have on hand. Then to trick them 😂i shred carrots, onion, squash spinach etc and add to the meat mixture, egg spices, bread crumbs or old hotdog or hamburger buns that i soaked in the milk oh yeah and lil bbq sauce. It’s delicious and next day we cut those meatballs and make hot open faced sandwiches ❤
