are you able to do sustain loops on samples on the 1000? like where it plays from the start of the sample and then sustains it infinitely through the loop points?

I'm unsure. Are you wanting to create keygroup programs and loop your sustained notes for playing melodies and chords. I'm waiting on another 1000. I sold this one and haven't had it in my possesi9n for awhile now. Also what OS are you using?

@@LiftedNoise yeah, pretty much that. I'm thinking about buying a 1000 but I wanna make sure it'll fit my workflow before I do.

Hey, I have a question, I'm considering getting and MPC1000 but I would like to have send/return FX attached to it. I know it doesn't have dedicated send/return for FX but would it work to use the mic input and mix out channels?

The mpc 1000 has I believe 6 assignable outs. You could use these and route them back into the stereo inputs.

would you mind showing building a beat from scratch as one of your next videos?

Well you could make a template and save in the key ranges. Everything you sample your vsts just do the same pitches everything and the process is sped up.

Great Video! Much better than most of the other MPC 1000 videos on KZitem. I'd love if you made a video where you make a simple beat by chopping a break and a sample, because that's basically my workflow and I am thinking about getting a MPC1000

Sadly I don't own this anymore. I didn't keep it long. But thanks for the comment 🙏 funny enough though, I was thinking of doing a breaks and chops video on the SP-404 MKII have you considered this piece of gear? I think it's perfect for chopping breaks and samples. Definitely a lot better than the 1000. What are you currently using?

@@LiftedNoise Right now I only have a SP 303 as FX. I used to own a SP 404 mk2 but the workflow was somehow too button combo heavy for me. I mainly use koala but I am still looking for a sampler. Was thinking about trying a MPC 1000 or a spmltrek….

This answered a lot in the question I asked in the comment I left on the other video, I was wondering how you had the keyboard hooked up playing keys thru it. I wasn't sure if it had to sample each note individually, or if it had a synth engine like the mpc one but I was planning to sample in anyway on certain synths that I had. New pad sensor arrives today so my bottom 4 pads should work again later tonight. My arrow keys are fudged a bit along with mode, I bought replacements and a whole solder kit but I haven't soldered in like 15 years so I'm trying that contact spray from your video first.

No synth engine. You can just do one sample on C and it will spread out on the keys but of course it won't sound the best the further it is pitched on the keyboard. Did you get individual pad replacements or did you get the pad upgrade kit? I javent tried the contact cleaner but I'm pretty sure that's all my needs, it's in great shape other than a couple of not so responsive buttons. I'll keep you posted.
