Now that we're all transitioning to online instruction, I thought it may help some to demonstrate the workflow I use to create online lectures. At the moment, for Palomar instructors, the software needed to carry out this workflow is all free.
The basic workflow consists of capturing your screen with Snagit as you narrate slides, editing in Adobe Premiere to take out errors, mistakes, and dead time, and uploading to KZitem. Snagit is currently free for instructors until the end of June 2020. The Adobe Creative Suite, of which Premiere is a part, can be downloaded freely from adobe by logging in to the Adobe Creative Cloud using your Palomar credentials.
Notes:
*I attempted to edit the audio balance as well but that is something I haven't had to face before. I don't know why the webcam recorded so loudly! Apologies for that!
*3:05 - error kept to demonstrate editing it out later on.
*11:49 - a few cuts were skipped in the interest of keeping the video concise.
