This video is part of a playlist to support the Audible version of Deploying Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Service v.9, which is available on Amazon and Audible.
In this video we deliver a fairly comprehensive tutorial in how to create an effective, useful, and accurate Entity Relationship Diagram, also known as an ERD. We also go into detail regarding how the ERD can be used to accurately and efficiently configure Microsoft Dynamics 365.
In the fourteen years we have been involved with enterprise-level deployments of Microsoft Dynamics 365 we made use of an Entity Relationship Diagram in every deployment, even if that deployment was for small organizations.
A well-composed ERD can be a blueprint for someone who is tasked with configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365, since it provides clear and useful information as to where to create sub-grids and lookups on forms. It can also be used to understand and express complex business requirements, especially with respect to transect entities to solve many-to-many relationships in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
This video can also be used by anyone who is designed any type of software system, not just Microsoft Dynamics 365.
While the Audible version of the book is convenient, there are times when a picture is worth a thousand words, and so we have identified those instances, and referred listeners to this playlist.
Here are the versions of the book: (NOTE: as of August 18th, the Audible version is "still processing ... so please have patience ... thanks!)
