it really is evil what media did to stapp and creed. all the filth in the world and a guy with immense talent and a history of struggle gets the brunt of negative light. They made some of the most soulful music of the 90s.

The first band I was ever in was a Christian rock band and Scott was my hero back then (I was lead vocals and rhythm guitar). That guy had a voice like no other. We loved him so much we covered a couple of their songs from My Own Prison and Human Clay. I'm glad it was before Weathered because I never could have hit the notes from this one haha

@@BAGELS69 Almost all of the grunge singers did THAT voice. Kurt Cobain did it but it was very light. Eddie overdid it. Scott here overdid it as a bit as well but nothing like Eddie Vedder. There was a few grunge singers who didn’t do this like Mark Arm and Robert Roth.

Disgraceful how much hate they get (predominantly Stapp), Pearl Jam rip off etc. I'm an Eddie Vedder fan but I can't recall a performance where Vedder shows this vocal power.
@clintonjosephcAMIELj

Stapp is a Jim Morrison fan and so are Eddie Vedder, Layne Staley and Scott Weiland. Their respective vocals do carry that Jim Morrison-esque growl, hence the very false and overblown rip off allegation on Stapp

@DannyLimardi Creed was one of the first rock band I ever heard...I listened to country until I was a teenager, but the first song I heard from Creed was One Last Breath, which is one of their best...After I heard Alter Bridge play, I was astounded by both bands' talent. Right now, If I had a choice to see Alter Bridge or Creed play, I would have to pick Alter Bridge. Scott has a unique voice, but so does Miles. I think that as a group AB performs better, and their songs are better :)
