One of my favorite bands, you can never go wrong with CCR. They don't have a bad song. RIP: Tom Fogerty 💔🔥🎸U R Missed Here's another one of their songs, if interested. "Creedence Clearwater Revival - Run Through The Jungle" (channel: Creedence Clearwater Revival) --This song was written by lead singer, lead guitarist John Fogerty and it is on their 1970 album called "Cosmos Factory" many have speculated that this song was written as a protest against the Vietnam war and the fact that CCR put out "Fortunate Son" another protest song added to this belief. Great reaction fellas' thanks.

The billed up or in this case windup of the Hammond Organ through that Leslie rotating horn (variable speed pedal) in the last part of the song, creating the organ vibrato, was late 60’s genius on their part. Volume and vibrato at the change into the chorus, may be the slickest effect they’ve done. And these guys in 3 yrs, did a lot! Jon Lord of Deep Purple used two Leslie’s as well as Marshall’s creating the organ in Rock sound that separated them from so many. Boston, The Allman Bros, etc, are just a few other groups using it beautifully as well. One of CCR’s best.

A band that released three albums in 1969, all US Top 10, in my opinion the best musically. A single was released practically every three months. In 1970, CCR appeared like a tsunami in Central Europe, especially in Germany (US soldiers). Two commercial albums, Cosmos Factory and Pendulum, were released, which often contained around 2 longer songs where they let off steam in a bluesy way (some of them covers), and the rest are 3' pop songs, which often appeared as singles on the A or B side . It was like a flood of CCR for two years, including on pop-rock radios. Then there was this brother feud and somehow as CCR appeared, they disappeared again. Later John Forgety came to Europe for a few gigs with country-blues-pop-rockmore modest, but with a good mood!!!

First album I ever bought was Cosmos Factory by CCR and I must have played it 5 times a day every day for a year. First concert I ever went to was CCR. They have so many hits to keep you busy for a long time. Hope you react to a few more. They wrote Proud Mary that Ike & Tina Turner did in their own great way. Fortunate Son would be a good next one.

You guys have definitely heard at least a few CCR songs, they're in many, many movies. John Fogerty's voice is so distinctive. They were very impt in the 60s. Yes. John Fogerty is a genius. Try the blues driven "Long As I Can See The Light". You also might want to try listening to the original Proud Mary helped to be more popular by Ike and Tina Turner. CCR has MANY hits, and like the Beatles, all of them were written and recorder over a short period of time before the band broke up. Thanks.

Most of CCR’s catalogue is very nostalgic for me. My 11 year older brother had these LPs when they were new so I literally grew up hearing them in their prime. A lot of people including myself have wondered if this song had deeper meaning tied to Vietnam (agent orange or napalm in this case) since a lot of their music is linked to that era. I read somewhere that it’s about the band’s disillusion with the end of the 60’s (compared to the optimism of the early and mid 60’s) and what was going on in the turbulent years of the late 60’s with riots and protests and the decade ending, culminating with the Stones disastrous concert at Altamont which was the antithesis of Woodstock.
