I once asked for kids temp coffee at Starbucks because, and I quote, "I'm a delicate flower like that". The barista doodled a little flower next to my name on the cup, it was really cute and funny. :D This happened years ago, but I still remember it clearly because it was just a wholesome little nugget of human interaction.

My name is Roberta. Thought this is an easy enough name but not for Starbucks staff, they've got it right maybe ONCE or twice tops, every other time is Rebecca, all other times are not even names. How can you get a simple name so wrong? I don't really go to coffee shops where they write your name on a cup anymore but when I do, I say my name is Amy or Mary or smth like that. It works.

@@missyunqgunz92 lol if you lived with my daughter, you may think a little differently lol. I could easily be a homebody, but she just cant! It's partially a typical teen thing, but moreso about her disability. She had a rare form of encephalitis right before she turned 10. She is now permanently disabled, with literally no short term memory past 5 minutes. She is still very bright, but she has some very bad behaviors and obsessions. She feels like she has to run, run run. She doesn't care if we just go to stores, which presents its own problems. This is making her behaviors go through the roof, and harder on everyone here. Im pretty patient! I have to be, but as her only caregiver, there are times mama could use a shutdown! I know she doesn't mean some of the horrific things she says, and for the most part, we have all learned planned ignoring, but we are still human! Lol she has blamed the coronavirus on me..because I'm now a "lazy ass" who doesn't want to run! It was her own autoimmune system that attacked her brain as well as numerous other organs. She is now on autoimmune suppressants, possibly for life. I'm simply trying to protect her, and have my own health issues as well. I can't imagine quarantine is the easiest with any 19 year old, but her frustration is magnified by 1000! Yea..we will get through it, and she forgets the cruel things she says and does within 5 minutes, even if we can't! When she is sweet, she is absolutely the sweetest! When she is mean..she is absolutely the meanest! So yea..the walls are closing in a bit. It is a blessing that the weather has been nice for a couple days, and we will find a way to head for a country drive today! That will cheer us all up! Otherwise, I swear, Im a much more upbeat, positive person! I just have my weak moments that I should probably keep to myself!

I had a similar experience when I was 13 so I am a 13 year old female and live in Boston I used to go to a dance class and my Mom used to always pick me up after it finished but this one night was the last night I went due to this experience I was standing outside and by the dance class building there is a side street which is always dark and I always find creepy so I stood for about 10 to 15 minutes which is normal because my mom gets caught in traffic and my dance class is on a Main Street. So I just looked on instagram to pass time and a car pulls in from the dark side street but I don’t really pay any attention to it so I just keep looking on instagram 5 minutes passed and this car is just parked there and It looked brand new and clean with tinted windows and no one got out of the car if they did I would of heard the door opening and closing then the drivers window winds down and a man who looked about mid 30s said something along the lines of Hi sweetie how come your by yourself. I just said nothing and just kept looking on instagram making out I wasn’t interested hoping he would just drive of then he asked me if I know the way to Cambridge Street obviously being 13 at the time I am no good at directing but I new the street but I told him I knew the street but don’t know directions from here and sure it was a few miles away then he said where do you live I will give you a ride. Being young and naive I still am and I’m 15 now I had this feeling he would not give up and if I walked away he might just follow then he opened his door then luckily enough my moms car pulled up and this man just drove away my mom said there was no point calling the police as he didn’t really do anything although he could of after this I told my mom I didn’t want to go to dance class anymore. So she said she would take me to a different one closer to home
