Yeah, chasing tornado warned supercells through the trees and cities and Disney traffic at night was interesting for sure. Always a pleasure hearing from you.

Storm chasing in Florida looks to have it's own unique challenges. Your essentially chasing in a region prone to twisters but doing so in a relatively heavily populated area. It's like storm chasing up here in New Jersey in the northeast.

Several months back I was heading south out of Waldo, FL on SR 24 in the mid afternoon. Looked in the rear view and saw a large tornado 3-4 miles behind me. I was to the south of it and the afternoon sun lit it perfectly. Surprised the shit out of me as it was a winter storm that spawned it. Unfortunately no pics as it was hauling ass to the east…

Wild. That's right in my backyard. Winter is our most tornadic season in these parts, especially here in North Central FL. We'll get temps in the high 70s but by morning it's down to the mid 30s, right after a huge cold front moves in and collides with that warm air mass. Perfect for spawning a tornado.

Wow! Being so close to a potential tornado at night, that is creepy ^^' glad you're okay! DId that funnel cloud develop into a tornado after you left? Wonderful night anyway, and always, great sceneries! keep it up :)

I don't think it fully developed, I'm pretty sure I caught a tornado on that first storm I was on with the drone though. Its that little needle under the wall cloud.
