Yes had my husband cremated despite me personally not wanting to do it but it was his wishes. When I picked his cremains up from the funeral director, firstly I was surprised how heavy the box was, secondly I buckled the box into the passengers seat and thirdly, out of curiosity, when I got him home I looked at the cremains and tbh they look more like kitty litter than anything like ashes...just sayin' :) I kept him in the container he was returned in, but purchased a nice box for them to go in - I wanted to make sure I didn't miss any of him transferring him :/

Clifford To a certain degree your right regarding the transformation of bones into ashes. The bones are placed into a metal cylinder which contains ball bearings and when the " CREMULATOR" that's the correct name for your " coffee grinder" is switched on it reduces the bones into ashes or fine powder which is a better description of the process,a large majority of people do not know of this process and if they are told or find out for themselves silence usually falls upon them realising have I made the right choice!!!!

Please study the Bible and listen to real theologians like Dr. John Ankerberg and learn that ALL dead bodies are unclean, the High Priest wasn't even allowed to enter a cemetery! You should also know that there is a huuuge difference between human ashes and the animal ashes. The ashes of the red heifer has been used to cleanse the Temple. Human remans/ashes are disgusting and must be buried and not kept at home or anywhere above ground! And by the way, GOD doesn't really like cremation, read the Book of Amos: Judgment on Moab, Judah, and Israel Amos 2: 1 This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of Moab, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because he burned to lime the bones of Edom’s king. 2So I will send fire against Moab to consume the citadels of Kerioth. Moab will die in tumult, amid war cries and the sound of the ram’s horn.… Human remains are unclean and unclean/occult/accursed things attract demons and give them a foothold. So that is why their ashes are now interred with my grandparents. We collected my dad's ashes today, and I wish I had watched this video before, as it was just as told and it was quite a shock (hence looking for a video to see if my experience was normal). I had no idea there would be so much ash, and that green container was full and so heavy! My daughter was very upset, but I reminded her that it was just his shell and his spirit is very much alive - also she had him for 30 years, me 50 and our mum 59 years and some people do not get a loved one for that long so we were blessed. Also, he had an amazing life and at 86, went in his sleep with no warning so couldn't have asked for a better way to go. One thing the ashes have reminded me of is dad never ever stressed or worried and was always super chilled, so now I know how I will end up (ashes) I intend to do the same.

My brother is CATHOLIC and he demanded my parents' ashes so he could do a funeral which his religion dictates (they believe it's a "sin" to keep the remains) -- but neither of my folks wanted to be buried. SO to honor my parents' wishes I gave my brother diatomaceous earth with some kitty clay mixed and put it in a giant broiling baggies and he could not tell the difference, and he can just leave me alone.

Hello Tina. Firstly, I hope everything goes well for you on Monday. The way you choose to scatter is entirely up to you. If everyone present would like to scatter then thats the way it should be, if you all decide that you'd prefer for it to be just the one designated person then so long as you all agree then that's the way to do it. Best advice is to choose a spot thats not too windy and not to stand downwid. As for the wearing of gloves, that is 100% personal choice but there will be absolutley no harm in the cremated remains touching your skin. I do wish you all the best.

I took care of my fathers ashes and agree it was a bit “freaky” as it was basically his remaining bones ground down but that’s all it was, in my mind it was just the remains of a body that he had no more use for and those bits were not him. Just the same as those ashes are not your uncle just the remains of a shell that was no good to him anymore. Try and find peace in a little comforting broader perspective that our bodies are just vessels for the souls and when our souls need to go we just move on and disregard them into hopefully a higher and more peaceful place of true existence. Well, when death strikes, it'll be just like how you fall asleep every night without your knowledge and without any pain. That's what the death will be . It'll be more painful if you get injured and then survive ( the whole process of recovery )

I know this comment is from two years ago but I'd like to give my opinion. No, a classic "haunting" only happens when someone dies on the premises. Ashes are not haunted since ashes are not the location of where the person passed on. I hope that helps in some way.
