The new JRPG by two Colombian indie studios shows a lot of promise and has a lot of interesting ideas, but does it do enough to keep up with its competition?
Special thanks to my mouse cursor for being such a present guest throughout the video.

YES!! Glad most people agree that Crow's Murder is like the best song in the game. undoubtedly.

it is a bummer that half of what you pointed out that I was hoping for was not in the game and does need tweaks that largely wouldn't impact the story but all in all a great review and seems like it would make for a neat charity run

I do think that random battles nowadays are annoying..but I also think that's also because most RPG's nowadays have such a need to be "Cinematic" Playing through FFIV recently, they were nowhere near as annoying, despite the massive encounter rate, simply because the battles themselves weren't bogged down by really long fancy intro cutscenes and unnecessarily long animations. Random encounters need to be balanced to the battle system and how long it takes, which I find most modern JRPG's (even really good games in of themselves such as FFVII and Skies of Arcadia,) could have been even better with a visible enemy system ala the Tales games of the same era

Maybe they should tackle it like Chrono trigger and have enemies around the field and seamlessly transition to battle on the field.
