I am a Canadian, Muslim revert, farm girl. After accepting Islam, I married a Sudanese man. Alhamdullilah. After being married for over 10 years I asked my husband to send me to Sudan to meet his family. He couldn'd go so he sent me. After one week I asked him to build us a home there. He thought I wad crazy! He said NO ONE wants to mive to Sudan! 🥰 I have my home there. Alhamdulillah. I was ladt there in 2019. In shaa Allah, we will be able to retun soon. 2 family members have been shot. Our neighbours are displaced. Much of the family have fled. Momma Saida, my husbands mother, won't leave. Some family are with her and in shaa Allah, they are safe for now. My heart has been African since I can remember and I am a white gal. Islam is in my heart and my heart is in Sudan. 💯❤️🇸🇩🥰🇨🇦👩🌾

You have no idea how enlightening it is to read your beautiful comment about your experience in Sudan. I ,along with my sister, were actually born in the Netherlands but my parents and extended family are from Sudan (now living in the UK since I was 3), I still feel a really powerful connection to my beloved Sudan and have gone there for the first time in 2014. Alhamdullilah I also still speak the Sudanese dialect of Arabic but I usually feel that it has become noticeably weaker as I constantly talk in English with my friends. You may not know this but Sudan used to have a really successful cotton industry in the 1950s but then came an economic and political crisis and my beautiful country descended into military rule and tyranny... Despite this, I have still got a lot of hope that Sudan will become a prosperous and wealthy nation once again with a just and fair leader caring for his nation and fearing Allah azza wajjal, insha Allah🤲

After a while when the RSF took over the island (tuti) my neighbor that didn't move reported to me that my closets were open, TV was stolen and refrigerator was taken too. They also ordered tires and gas from the villagers and gave them some fruits when they were leaving to try and clean their images a little. it's so sad. The RSF also has completely blocked the entrance to the island, making it impossible for anyone to leave. This has to be stopped.

At this very moment, I'm living in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan and we're hearing gun and cannon fires everyday to the point we became used to it. Even so, we're as concerned for our brothers and sisters in Palestine as we are about our Sudanese brothers and sisters. What's making our war even more painful is that we're doing this while our Palestinian brothers and sisters are facing this brutal genocide. I keep hoping and telling myself that Allah has willed this war in Sudan to strengthen us and light the fire of jihan in our hearts so that we can stand side by side with our oppressed brothers and sisters all over the world. I'll assume good intentions in discussing what's happening in Sudan at this time. Also, I'll assume you are not aware of why there is a war in Sudan right now. I am a Sudanese who fled Sudan in 1989. At that time, the "Muslim Brotherhood," a part of a democratic government, hijacked democracy through a military coup. They then governed the country until 2019 - for 30 years under the rule of the "Muslim Brotherhood." During this period, Sudan experienced corruption, torture, continuous wars, and the separation of South Sudan. It's important to mention rape, as it was one of the government's tools to subjugate the people. The "Muslim Brotherhood" government had a job whose sole duty was rape (refer to court documents regarding the killing of the teacher Ahmed Alkhir). In 2018, there was a revolution against the same people. The RSF (Rapid Support Forces) was created to protect the government of the "Muslim Brotherhood." The current war is a consequence of two factions of the same "Muslim Brotherhood" fighting over control. If funds are needed, please pressure the Turkish government to return all the stolen money from the "Muslim Brotherhood" members who fled and are living in Turkey now. That could help rebuild Sudan

it's almost impossible to verify anything about Sudan after looking it up; a lot of information happens after the fact. Sad part is we have divided International pressure, where many countries are trying to setup proxies(Chad, Kenya, Eygpt, Libya, AUE, Russia, Ukraine which means NATO has role in getting Ukraine war tied to this war)... now saddening part is that this all happen as they want multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multi-cultural society Junta govt under Nationalism(current Sudan interm govt) or multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multi-cultural society secularized govt(proposed by Abdelaziz al-Hilu) Both are trying to remove Islam as basis of society.....

I am from Sudan. I have been following you for quite some time. Thank you for finally talking about it. There are a couple of things that are not 100% factual. For example, this war started in April 2023, not August. It has been going on for almost a year. And unfortunately, the world is quite and doesn't care about our plight.

It's really kind of disappointing to see a conflict that have been going for nearly 9 months(from april 15th) not having that much of attention,i mean sure there are journalists who're risking their lives to provide information of what's happening, but to see that basically nobody cares about it is just horrendous and disappointing, ever since the war started it had some coverage, but as soon as the countries fleated thear people they said khalas our job is done, without any consideration of the sudanese people who're still there being massacred. Jazakumullahu khairan for speaking about it and inshaa allah more people would shead light about it. الحمد لله على كل حال. اللهم احفظ السودان وفلسطين وسائر بلاد المسلمين يارب🤲

Jazak’Allah Khair for shedding light on what has been happening in Sudan akhi. It is true, there is little to no media coverage of the ongoing war, which began around April of 2023. It was covered perhaps for a month, and then set aside as though everything had blown over. The main means we have of gaining knowledge of it is WhatsApp groups and facebook posts. May Allah mend the situation of all the countries of the ummah, Ameen

Thank you so much for talking about our country and raising it as an issue of the ummah may Allah bless all of you, we really feel helpless but are reliant on Allah to save us from this chaos. Especially us living in some countries involved funding the rsf we truly have no way to do anything and are forced to watch our country be destroyed and our families displaced and killed. I hope you read this comment. There are currently no institutions based on relief and assistance to those affected, and you cannot, in all honesty, trust the government. Unfortunately, before, aid was available that did not reach the affected people, and eight months have already passed. Corruption is still clinging to the government. Unfortunately, there is a lack of media coverage of what is happening here, and the situation is truly tragic. Thank you for being one of the few who pay attention to what is happening to us

The first time in a long long time I've been proud of what I'm seeing between you 3. I hope that does not come across as too harsh but this is a great step in the right direction. Just a humble suggestion, why not use the channel to provide weekly programming on particular Muslim issues, maybe 3-4 eps, just 10 mins or so e.g. a week on Sudan, a week on Assam, a week on China, a week on Kashmir and so on. Hope this suggestion is read.

Thank you brothers for shedding light on a much forgotten Afro Arab country that has long supported Arab countries in the region and opened its borders to thousands of refugees, many being Syrian and Palestinian. It is in this time that we need and look forward to reciprocal support from our neighbor states and wider ummah.

My mother is always crying about what's happening in sudan (we live in a different country) cos her sister called her one day and told her that one of her sons fiance's aunt has been shot buy the RSF cos they were leaving with a toktok (Taxi) so the guy ran but the female was shot and she needed to be buried in a desert.
