I subbed to your channel because of this recipe. Was checking out your cake and cookie videos which looked good and was thinking I would subscribe, but this put you over the top for me for sure! I LOVE shrimp and I can’t wait to make these! And BTW, you are NOT mispronouncing apricot. 🙂 Tell anybody who says that you are to shut their pie hole. 😆

Since I pronounce “apricot” the way you do, you obviously are saying it right. 😂 I spent some time trying to get a shrimp recipe I liked in the past and kinda burnt myself out on them. This looks really good, and if I paired it with your garlic cheese drop biscuits.... oh man! 😀 I might have to give it a try. OH say. I made a beef stew the other day for the first time. It was okay but not great. I looked and didn't see that you had done a recipe on beef stew. If I missed it, let me know!

🤣 I agree we are definitely saying it right! I love the combination of shrimp and garlic cheese biscuits. Yummmmm. I actually just finished a beef stew. I have to put the finishing touches on the pictures and videos. It should be out mid January. :)

@@SugarSpunRun Great minds think alike! I don't know if I will be ready to make another stew in a few weeks, but perhaps. Regardless I will watch and like your videos as they come out.

Can these be fryed in coconut oil instead of vegetable??

I honestly have never fried with coconut oil so I’m not sure how it does/holds up to the heat. 😔

What do you do with the oil when you are done?

Wait until it cools and dump it into a container that has a secure lid. Then you can just throw it away. 😊

I would strain the oil & put it in a container to use on the next batch of shrimp. Oil can easily be used up to 4-5 times before having to throw it out. I make a lot of fried food in my deep fryer & it always works for me & with the price of oil, it's great to get more than one use out of it

I heard Nigella Lawson say AY-pricot, but Merriam Webster says both AY-pricot and A-pricot are correct. So anyone who says you're wrong can shut their mouth. BTW, wish you and your family a happy new year!

This can also be done in an air fryer 😊
@SugarSpunRun
Жыл бұрын
Yup! I actually have instructions on how to do it in my actual blog post, but here they are in case you or anybody else needs them. :) Preheat air fryer to 400F. Prepare shrimp as instructed then spray with cooking spray (I like to use an olive oil spray). Cook shrimp for 7-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until outsides are crisp and centers are opaque when broken into. You’ll likely have to work in batches to not overcrowd the shrimp. Shrimp will not be as golden when air-fried.
