This video really help, especially because I basically managed to avoid doing any form of geometry and trigonometry, except for maybe x and y graphs, through middle school and early highschool. This really helped me to sort of catch up.

u should use the refractive index for the incident ray medium..if the light travels from air to water, then use the refractive index of air

No man, it's a formula for rarer and denser media not for air. The formula never changes

question: another formula to find critical angle is c=sin^-1(n2/n1) but didn't snell's law state that n2/n1 = n ????? could you explain the relationship between the 2 formulas?
