Back in July 2018, around the time of the World Cup Final, a French anti-racism league organisation insinuated that Croatia was somehow racist as its team were all white (there was no mention of the Nigerian team being all black). It led me to look at the statistics of how many foreigners were living in Croatia with temporary or permanent residence.
Back then, there were less than 30,000 foreigners here (and most of them white) in a population of 4 million. With some 99.3% Croatian citizens, almost all of them white (I am not saying that is a good or a bad thing, just a thing), Croatia was arguably the whitest country in the world.
Five years on, things are changing. Find out how much, and where the new arrivals are coming from in a 2023 update of the statistics provided by the Ministry of the Interior. The original video about 2018 is available at the end of this video.
