At this point, even defensive bites will do; if it means getting those antibiotics into him. Ignore the people you can't make happy. You two are in it for the animals!! @erlandaislund4594

If i understand it right, they don't get killed for their skin. They get killed for getting to close to humans and/or beeing to comfortable in human areas. So just beeing at the wrong time in the wrong place can get them killed.

Amazing as usual. Odd that you're choosing a UV filter as they are expensive I hear. If you're pumping the water anyway then maybe it would be cheaper to have a sand-bog where you could grow carnivorous plants or something with the dirty-gator-water. Farms will sometimes have long wood-mulch filters for the water they're sending into the local creeks. UV the urea & doo-doo is not cleaning the water IMO. I've seen some ponds use a pallet of filters that they dump the water on to get the solids out of the water & treat them with oxygen.

❤good news about Dino. Any improvement is improvement. Too bad stress is Alligators achilles’ heel. If you had like a area for ill alligators to rehab and you could have a little waiting pool type size, cement, pool, and then a little grassy knoll for them with a little shade tree, but that makes them getting away harder for them, but easier for you to work with them except for the close proximity of the ill I would think they’d be really sluggish like Dino is anyway, I was thinking that way they can’t hide in the water away from you and you could do some kind of syringe in the mouth thing from a far and squirt the liquid medication into the mouth with fish oil, making it more tasty for them and encouraging swallowing. I really need to bone up on the biology and anatomy of alligators and crocs before I start suggesting anything but I just thinking that a smaller enclosure as like a hospital area for your larger semi aquatic animals might be beneficial for everyone. But like I said, what do I know?😅😊😂

They're territorial. Bigger males fight, having barriers and an area to stake as theirs makes them much more comfortable and more manageable. Plus cuts down on the risk of injuries in the Gators housed there

Man those pigs are smart I actually like seeing those eat I love that this is a sanctuary and not a zoo yet I can watch from my phone and it’s like I’m there. I love what u guys do man. But I did have a thought, like I said I think that this is the best way to care for these animals. Zoos have so many people coming though and although I respect what they do too as far as teaching ppl to respect the animals and other conservation work. I think it’s not what’s best for the animals themselves in that situation, it’s a double edged sword in my opinion (yea it helps animals in general at the expense of animals). However, have you considered doing small controlled visits where a small groups can donate and visit the reserve just thought it could be a way to gain extra revenue without causing undue stress I definitely don’t think you should just open up to public or anything but small controlled tours when it’s convenient for you guys where you can share your wealth of knowledge and also gain revenue for upkeep
