Free crochet tutorial on how to crochet a pull on diaper cover. Great for newborn photography or add to a onsie for a warm weather outfit. Fits approx 0-4 months old. Medium worsted weight yarn and a 5.00mm crochet hook.
Size Medium 4-8mo:
♥ch 50
Round 1: ch 2, hdc in each ch around, slst into first st. (50st)
Round 2: ch 2, hdc around, slst into ch 2. (50st)
Round 3: repeat round 2. (50st)
Round 4: ch 2,* hdc in each of the next four st, dc into the 2nd row* (see picture), repeat from * to *
around, slst into ch 2. (50st)
Round 5: ch 2, hdc in each st around, slst to ch 2. (50st)
Round 6-7: repeat round 5. (50st)
Row 1: ch 2, hdc next 24. (24st)
Row 2: ch 1, turn, hdc next 24. (24st)
Row 3-6: repeat row 2. (24st)
Row 7: ch1, turn, hdc2tog, hdc across, hdc2tog last 2 st. (22st)
Row 8-11: repeat row 7.

finish off leaving an 18" or so tail (you'll need this to sew the buttom flap to the waist band).
Seam:
Turn your diaper cover wrong side out, using the tail from your finishing cut, thread your
tapestry needle and whip stitch the bottom flap to the waist starting in the 6th stitch over from
your back stitches. Note: you may want to whip through twice at each end stitch for added
strength. Cut extra and weave in ends. Turn project right side out.
Trim:
Join in desired stitch in the top of the waist band. You can use the same color as the diaper or
a contrast color if desired. ch.1, sc around, slst into the ch1 space. Finish and weave in ends.
Join anywhere in the leg hole with desired color, ch1, sc around, slst into the ch1 space, finish
off and weave in ends. Repeat on the other leg hole.
Belt (optional):
Using two strands together, ch 90. Finish off and either weave your ends in or trim ends to
desired length as tassels. Weave belt into the loops you made in row 4.
Size Large 8-12mo:
