THANK YOU SOOOO VERY MUCH!!!! I have tried several other similar vids on here, but yours is the only one that made perfect sense. You are truly a great teacher. I'm doing my roses in a 'cherry' color, the leaves in a sort of dark 'olive', and the background in a 'lemon'. I've noticed that it makes the square look sort of vintage. I'm now making a blanket for my mother. Thank you again for this pattern. :o)

I told my nine year old granddaughter that I would make her any afghan she wanted, including designing one herself. We looked at hundreds of afghans and talked about colors for weeks. This rose square was posted in one of the crochet groups I'm in and I showed it to my granddaughter. She squealed and said, "YES! THAT'S the ONE Grandma! I want a whole afghan done in those!" We bought the yarn yesterday and I am so excited to make this for her! Thank you for making this!

Hello Robin... I absolutely LOVE your videos! So clear and so easy for a newbie like myself to follow along. Another one of your patterns, well a couple of them I have done. The kitty mermaid one was a hoot to do, a flower petal I just did, and seen this one you are working on here as well as another one awhile back that I really enjoyed that had like 52 rows, just beautiful, so I took the instructions off your blog, made a copy and not only started the one following along w/ your video, but started on another using the pattern itself. Need to start buying beautiful yarns to learn more and make pretty things. I quilt and sew, and crochet would be good to do for when I am camping and need something to keep my hands busy. Thank you again :)

I love this pattern. About 35-40 years ago my sister in law and I made 2 afghans using a red rose square like this for my mother and father in law’s camper that had 2 single beds. Unfortunately, our crochet tension of the stitches for the roses and squares looked quite different so when we put the squares together we staggered them around. My mother in law loved the afghans despite the flaws.
