Holy Cow Tiffany I have never done Tunisian crochet but you make it look easy. The purl stitch seems a bit tricky but I guess it gets easier as you go.

Hi Tiffany, I enjoy making washcloths, the only problem I have is they always seem to take too long to dry. I would love to find a weight and a texture that not only cleans, but dries fairly easily. So far I’m still looking for that wonderful combination.

Hmm, I'm wondering if the reason it takes longer to dry is the thickness of the yarn. I've seen some beautiful cotton yarn in a size 3 weight and even a size 2 weight yarn. The thinner yarn makes for some BEAUTIFUL stitches! I'm thinking that the thinner strands might dry faster because they will hold less moisture. Worth a try. 🤗💖🧶

Walmart carries a brand that is thinner and dries quicker. Little balls or cakes of peaches and crème. Much better than the old version of the same brand

Washcloths look so pretty and i love crocheting, but i cant imagine using a crocheted washcloth. Guess im just too used to the terry ones 😂 Is it used the same way?

Im not seeing how to close the tunisian stitches. Thank you!
@CrochetWithTiffany
2 ай бұрын
Oh! You do a return pass where you are pulling the yarn through 2 loops on the way back. That closes off the stitches. Then when you reach the end of the row, cut your yarn leaving a tail long enough for you to weave in your ends and then pull the tail through the loop on your crochet hook to tie off and form a knot. Then all you have to do is weave in your ends and you’re done! 🤗💖🧶

@@CrochetWithTiffany thank you Tiffany 😊 I'm wondering how to close the Tunisian so it matches the beginning instead of being more open.. I hope I'm making sense.

I am making this washcloth too. And i know what you mean. I watched another you tubers video making a Tunisian washcloth and he shows you after the return pass you have to cast off. And you have to cast off according to what stitches you have. So this washcloth is simple stitch then purl stitch. So you would start off doing that simple stitch then your left off with 2 loops on your hook pull that 1st loop under that second stitch. Then you have one loop left then go to that purl stitch do the purl and when you are left with 2 loops put the first loop under the 2nd stitch. Hope I'm making sense. Kinda like slip stitching it.😊

Hi Karen! WELCOME! I’m so glad you said something. This is called Tunisian crochet. It’s a different category of crochet. Does NOT mean that it’s harder, just different. There are actually quite a few different categories of crochet which is fascinating! So many things to try. 🤗🧶💖

NHMD (nice, in Hebrew). // SHLM & HaB (peace & love). The Name of the Creator is Hayah Asher Hayah, as what He told Moshah (Exodus 3:14), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. There is a curse to the G-o-d name (Isaiah 65:11-12), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. All followers of the Messiah are to do the 7 appointed times (Leviticus 23), but no more animal sacrifices, following the Crucifixion of the Messiah. We are now of the order of MLK TSDQ (King, righteous), to Whom ABRaHM tithed. Ask the Messiah to be your personal Savior. He said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). ...for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Hayah (Romans 3:23). The wages for sin is death but the gift of ALaHYM is Everlasting Life through Messiah Yahushgh our Master (Romans 6:23). That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yahushgh and believe in your heart that ALaHYM raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9). He Himself is an Atoning Offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world (1 John 2:2).
