As always, MIND BLOWN!!! I have been crocheting for over 40 years and you teach me new things all the time!! I have always done ribbing using SC (US)/DC (UK) in the back loops. It's always looked nice but is a yarn-eater compared to your method! Plus, doing a slip-stitch is a bit easier and faster to get the mundane ribbed cuff out of the way before going onto the "main event". Thank you Sarah-Jayne for teaching this old bird new tricks!! Also, time flies so fast when little ones are around, so don't apologize for not giving us this pattern in November. My 3 sons are adults now, but I had them very close together. There were many days that I thought were a winner if I remembered my name and brushed my teeth by the time I put them down for bed! LOL! Thank you again so much for everything you do!

Thank you for this lovely pattern! There’s just one thing I figured: I had to make 45 slip-stitch rows instead of 42 in order to have 23 ridges (so 22 peaks) for the main section…also only by having a odd number of slip-stitch rows, the working yarn would end up at the same side as the slip knot tail (like yours in the video).

Maybe if you flipped it, the ridges and troughs would have been reversed and numbered out correctly? Just a thought. I have enormous paws, I increased mine by eyeball and didn’t even count!🤪

I don’t have any Aran weight yarn and I’m too impatient to wait for some to be delivered as I’m disabled and unable to visit a bricks and mortar shop so I have to do everything online. I think the two colours that are in the box would look amazing but I don’t yet have the knowledge to do a conversion myself and I need some help with it please. Thank you, I'm so glad to hear you like them 😊 If you can meet gauge with the chunky yarn then you will be able to use that no problem. I have a blog post here: bellacococrochet.com/crochet-wrist-warmers/ with the gauge requirements - all you have to do is crochet a small sample piece and measure the stitches to compare. You may have to adjust your hook size. If you can't match the gauge then unfortunately it would be a case of ordering some aran weight yarn. My two go to brands are Stylecraft Special Aran and Paintbox Simply Aran, both of which come in lots of lovely colours 😊
