I love your program & wish that I could participate more, but I just can't, I'm bedridden with advanced MS & only have my SSI for income. I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your program & your view about bison. I only have my tablet to watch for entertainment. I watch you everyday.

I just found the old show with big joe bouncing all over the place. I love your show. Your family is so different from alot of others. You all are so responsible even little Brooks. I have told you this but I have got to tell you again you are my favorite even down to the loud mouth rooster. Maybe the reason the rooster got in with the food was to get away from the talkative one. Go with God..I'm still laughing. 😂😂

They should not be killing these animals. They were there first. People need to work with nature and not kill things to make it more comfy for us. They have a Problem with the water table? Put in a filtration system and relocate.

I understand their reasoning to thin out the population. As long as the bison are used as food and their hides are used then it’s not a waste. Otherwise they could die and their life would have been useless. It’s all about the circle of life.

Now that he finally made it through and got lots of treats at the end; Big Joe will see the best way to escape is just run through to the end. The more times will make it easier. I imagine fear of the unknown is just a survival trait that makes these animals difficult. They don't do it to be stubborn or mean.

Have you tried regenitive grazing? Rotational grazing moving them every day. Using hot poly wire. Making smaller pens. And laying hens following three days behind them to keep flies down.

We moved to AZ in 1966. Az has always had to cull the bison. The meat was sold by Basha's and some went to the Tribes up North. They used to be kept in the White Mountains. I don't know when/if that changed. The permit to hunt costs over $1,000.00.

The marathons are great, the eating of the afterbirth by the bull - I know nothing of Bison except I think they are AWESOME.... I have heard of in the wild, not just recently let go or recently bred in the wild but really wild for generations, Stallions have been known to eat the afterbirth of mares if they are concentrating on their foals more and there are potential threats to mask the smell and hide the evidence of a foal being freshly born. Thats also why the mare licks them and cleans them up - to get that film off them totally. Hope that helps - not sure Bison would have many predators but I guess Bobcats and a pack of coyotes would love to have a go at a calf...or foal.

So glad I found you. Your sincerity, compassion, hard work ethic draws me in. I’m 72,retired living in Maine( although there are some bison here) and I am mesmerized by this whole way of life. Bison have been around a while yes?? I remember watching Kevin Costner’s movie with thousands of them running and the ground shook and thundered. I’d say. Doing Gods work. Bless you and your friends and family.

You have to remember these animals used to roam freely so it’s in their DNA, they need some space to roam around, keeping them penned up is not a great idea in my opinion.
