My friend Darian and I decided to ride across the State of Washington on our gravel bikes. We rode from West to East, from Anacortes (Deception Pass State Park), to Spokane (Riverfront Park). We traveled over the North Cascades Highway. Day 1 was Anacortes to Newhalem. This ride was all self-supported and we camped along the way. Day 2 was Newhalem to Winthrop. We stayed at campgrounds along the way, we had each stop planned out ahead of time. Day 3 was Winthrop to Grand Coulee (this was the toughest day of the trip. Day 4 was Grand Coulee to Spokane. It was an awesome adventure and the weather was beautiful. Total of 352 miles, 18884 feet climbed and just over 26 hours in the saddle.
