I got caught on this bridge about a two months ago on my way driving from GA to New York... smh I was not ready and prayed the entire way over it! I would never get on it again and if I had known it was built like that and that long, I would not have drove over it! Great video though!

I got re-routed over this bridge a few months ago coming home from a family vacation. Didn't even see it coming and had no idea this bridge existed. I started driving up it, and I broke out in sweat... White-knuckled through it. Pretty intense if you've never done it before. A couple of cargo ships seemed to be heading straight for it. (PS- I'm an active certified driving instructor for 10 years)

I've went over that bridge many times. One early morning it was so foggy I could hardly see in front of me. Honestly, so foggy I couldn't even see the water. And...Adeles - Rolling In The Deep was playing on my radio. I will never, ever forget it.

I used to cross this thing all the time heading from my home in Saint Mary's County to all points past Baltimore (Wilmington, Philadelphia, NYC, Boston). The speed limit might say 40, but I would do 80 trying to get the f*ck off that thing as quickly as possible! I HATED this bridge! It looks and feels like it's gonna collapse at any second. I'd rather take my chances in an underwater tunnel than on this thing.

Crossed this bridge many times when we lived in Maryland (late 80's) going to and from the Eastern Shore. It scared me the first time, but I got use to it later on and then no problem. Now however, I don't think I could do it. Had a bad scare years ago and it took a lot out of me. I have never been a bridge fan and that incident just made it worse. If I were there now, I'd drive up to Delaware and go down that way rather than drive across the bridge......

Oh I lived there and was born on 'Delmarva' which is what people call it now. Remember though Eastern Shore was in the pass the old name for those 2 Virginia counties.
