Part TWO of our Pacific Crossing video series. This episode begins on Day 7 of our crossing about 500mi into our journey. We celebrate Rob's 50th Birthday and Cross the Equator on the same day. The entire crew becomes Shellbacks. Rob is worried about our fuel consumption thus far in our journey and makes the executive decision to stop in the Galapagos to take on more fuel. We have to run our generator in order to make water and this was Robs biggest concern. Rob consulted with an advisor and he was told that "no problem to stop only for fuel" but once we anchored and boarded by officials we quickly found out this was not the case. Lessons learned - just figure in a stop to the Galapagos for rest and to reprovision with food and fuel prior to the 2,900nm journey to the French Polynesia.
Follow our families journey as we plan to Circumnavigate the Globe in 3-4 years on a budget of $4,300/mo. We left the US in October 2023 and plan to visit 26 countries and 6 continents.
