This ferry ride is on my list of things to do for near future but maybe in the opposite way.. Thank you for sharing this video and I must say, I envy you for living your life traveling as I would want to.. I have a family with little kids so I only get to disappear for not more than 2 months at a time and get back to family afterwards.. Cheers and looking forward to seeing much more from you in future.. Cheers my friend.

Do you really feel you need to “take it” in order to be able to walk through and have access? 🙂 good relationships with neighbours might work better in this case you can imagine.

@@artis_guru dude since 1952 the Egyptian state is totalitarian and close minded, Egypt’s been ruled by authoritarian regimes and security forces are chasing people with a stick they need to chill out because that behavior is affecting tourism which consists of 12% of Egypt’s GDP.

I need to do this ferry round trip for going out of Egypt to Petra and for coming back for 30 extra days. Is that possible? Or I have to extend the visa anyways in Cairo? Is there no transportation near? I see you're walking alot 😅. Terrific video, so helpful. Thank you so much.

I can’t think of any reason why could it not be possible. It’s a very nice plan. On the Taaba side there allegedly is one bus per day which goes from Dahab via Nuweiba. But other than that it’s only hitchhike or taxi as far as I know. Does anyone here have more info?

Thank you Artis for your detailed explanation. This will help me next month when will do the same as you. By the he way, where did you buy the ferry ticket (online in AB Maritime?). Regarding the visa, were you able to get in on arrival without any pre requirement or formality other than paying 25 eur? Did the offer also the Sinai visa exemption?
@artis_guru

Sorry for the late reply. I bought the ticket in some tour agency in Aqaba. They gave me the €25 Visa on the border without issues and without ordering anything ahead of time. I don’t know about Sinai Visa though.

Hi there. Just want to ask about the bus or transportation from the port of Egypt border to Cairo. Is it safe & are there like timelines for the buses? Couldnt find anything online. Planning to go there by ferry but I am curios about the transpo system & safety from the port after I cross from Aqaba Jordan. Hope to hear back. Thanks. 😊

There are good busses to Cairo from both Dahab and Sharm el Sheikh. You can see my video about me trip from Dahab to Cairo. And they are guarded by police and safe, as far as I know. But there’s less transportation between Dahab/Nuweiba and Israeli border. I think ther is supposed to be one bus or van per day or something like that. The dangerous place is the North of Sinai peninsula, which should be better avoided.

Why don't they build a bridge between Jordan and Egypt
@artis_guru
2 жыл бұрын
Who would pay for such a bridge? Would you pay for such a project, if you had the money? How many millenia would you need to get your investment back?
@muslimgeography2210

@@artis_guru The distance is just about 11 KM There's a bridge between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain and the distance is more than 20 KM.
@artis_guru

Sure, technically it should be doable (I’m not sure about the depths though), but the biggest question is what would be the return on investment there. Between Bahrain and KSA there’s a lot of traffic of wealthy people. How much traffic would be here? It doesn’t seem to be enough even to lure in some 3 to 5 ferry companies (which would then compete and that would bring down the prices for about 10 times probably)…

Yes, the world’s only Jewish state should risk Jewish civilian lives just for your convenience. I hear your Arab friends are very good at building tunnels, so maybe you can encourage them in that direction if you don’t like ferries.
