This may be one of the most changed shows from beginning to end of season that I’ve found.

I honestly like this version of movement 2 much better than the finals version, the tuba soli andthe chromatic run down/space chord is unbelievable

+Christopher Parrado I doubt it. These guys work to hard to get yelled at for a stupid mistake. The staff probably laughed at it.

I know what it's like to be in that situation. I marched with Carolina gold this past year and it happened to me a few times. You are extremely tired, you are sunburnt , you've been playing all day , and things just kind of slip your mind. For me, especially when a high note like that came up, the only thing on my mind was just hitting the note with enough projection. Sometimes i didn't even think about playing it at the right time. Thankfully it never happened to me during a performance. And I didn't really get any crap for it. I just kinda got laughed at. Everyone did at one point in time.

they would only get mad if someone didnt admit to there mistake, something just like that happened at spring training, and the person didn't want to admit it. the rest of the section literally ratted him out lol.

A good staff would not only NOT criticize the early note but hold him up as an example HOW to make a mistake. You want to hit that attack as if YOU were right and the rest of the horn line missed it. That's exactly how you want to make a mistake . 👍 💪

@@johns3106 i'd like to point out how pit percussion has been in dci since the early 80s. Again, using instruments within your limitations to create a more atmospheric product isn't the same as adding a bunch of woodwinds for the sake of inclusivity. Just because YOU don't like the pit doesn't mean it isn't useful.
@johns3106

@Caleb Montgomery Have you compared the size of the pit in the 80's compared to today?! I don't really have a problem with a "reasonable" pit, I just don't care for a phalanx of vibraphones, marimbas and synthesizers (!?!?). The pit should support the brass and field percussion...not detract from them. One of the biggest problems I have with modern shows is hearing the bass line and realizing that it is coming from a synth(s) in the pit and not so much from the contras on the field.

Why'd they get rid of that amazing tuba soli at 5:57?
@Chris-so6qf
Жыл бұрын
We didn't need that added difficulty/exposure for so little credit. It was not very easy to make sixteenth note runs sound clear from 60 yards away in the set they were in during the performance; the tubas were a little bummed, but happy that their part was easier for about six seconds lol

Have you never heard Dies Irae? Never heard Aaron Copland’s “Symphony for Organ and Orchestra”? Remo Giazotto’s “Adagio in G minor”? “Ode to Joy.”? Obviously you've never heard classical music because they played all of those pieces exceedingly well.

@@borj_1967 they said “boring, can’t recognize the songs” yet most of the songs Crown played in 15’ were classical standards so obviously they haven’t done their research.
