Wow. I love the sound of that. The fade in the repeats was sublime, and the crispy harmonics provided by the tubes are really something.

Loved the sounds you got from this pedal. Especially with the song. Very well done.

Thanks as always mate. I love your videos and learned a lot from them. You're awesome and you have a great set of musical ears as well. Please keep making these nice and unique intros, they add a lot to the demo videos. Cheers

@2:20 🎉❤. Woohoo! I too love tube/high voltage pedals, but it’s such a mess with a regular pedalboard. It would be fun to have a t/hv only board 🥹

You really, really should have your own band. You can write & arrange very, very strong tunes. Damn impressive.

Few can do what Perky does!🎉. Used to take a room full of people to do something that sounds this good! His last two original compositions have been exceptional (when played at the correct speed 🤭)

If you needed a keyboard player with huge collection of vintage synth and modular gear, I'd be in!

I see what you mean about it being an instrument in it's own right. This is a space rock afficionado's dream.

Sounds great! Wonderful demo. Does that tube affect the direct dry part of the signal, too? Not sure if I got that right... is that high frequency crunch coming from the peadl or from the amp? I hear someting "scratchy", that seems not very familiar with that amp to me. 02'20-02'30 around, for example.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't _think_ so...I think the preamp circuit gets blended in as you turn the mix up, but couldn't swear to it - best ask Steve on that one! I used lots of different amps on that intro track, and the heavy tone at 2:20 is a Decibelics Angry Swede (HM2 clone), but everything was running through the Time Warp with some degree of delay added - even if just a subtle slapback - so you're hearing its magic throughout! The main playing demo is just the Dr Z EZG-50 though.

Seems that it is in the same category as for example Roland DC-30, isn't it. Analog BBD delays have their own cool vibe even if theoretically they should be inferior compared to digital circuits. And tubes of course add some extra vibe as well. I just compared my 80's BBD chorus, delay and reverb pedals with some modellers, and usually those modellers, which usually sounded too sterile, didn't have that "shimmer" of those authentic pedals.

Yep - there's definitely something about 'real' analog gear...not necessarily better or worse, but it has its own thing going on when compared to digital. :-)
