I'm going on a Bahamas cruise in a month, and wanted to take my camera, and you've given me so many good ideas! I love still photography, but I'm also a video arts student at my local university, and got myself a more video focused camera, the Panasonic Lumix S5IIX. I unfortunately don't have a long lens, but I'm hoping to make the most of what I've got! I'll be working with a 20-60mm 3.5-5.6, and a set of 1.8 primes at 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm.

Thank you Jason. This is the best cruise ship photography video I have come across. Headed to Alaska in 3 weeks for a land/cruise vacation. Keep up the good work.

Nice video. What lenses would you recommend to bring on a Norwegian fjords? I'm using the Sony a6400.

I am heading to Alaska this summer on a cruise. For bodies I have a Canon RP and a Canon 6D. For lens I have a Canon RF 24-240, Tamron EF 150-600 VC G2, Canon EF 16-35 F2.8L II, Canon EF 50mm F2.5 Macro, Canon EF 28-200, tripod, flash, etc. Deciding what to bring. The obvious choice seems to be the Canon RP, the 24-240 (general use) and the 150-600 with adapter (wildlife). But I also am considering the 16-35 in the off chance of aurora Northern Lights, and interior shots of the ship. The 50mm F2.5 is super light and will take some good macro shots of food and other things. In fact the 50mm F2.5 and the 150-600 will be a good combo to cut down some weight if I want to focus on wildlife. Bringing the 6D as a second body will be nice, since then I don't need to change lens in wind, but more weight. Decisions, decisions!
