There are two locations in my area, and a family friend recently began working at the newest location. She reports long lines and tremendous popularity everyday. As you mention in your video, social media and the rotating menu have created a firestorm-- amazingly, these two things cost little or no money, yet they are the best influencers. Health reasons prevent me from eating these products, even a quarter of a cookie, but they look delicious. As for people complaining about the "healthiness" of the cookies, I say, go pound sand. It is a cookie. It is meant to be a treat, with lots of ingredients that generally are not items you should much of very often. People who want a healthy snack should not be looking at cookies, at all. But don't spoil for those people who want indulgent cookies! As for Crumbl's future.... They already follow a model that will help them remain popular-- keep a couple of regular flavors on the menu and come out with new flavors that match with current food trends. Keep up with social media, including any changes in platforms (e.g., if TikTok fades, be sure to go with the latest platforms). Cookies will never go out of style. The key will be keeping existing and new customers engaged and to remain trendy.

A Crumbl opened up in the unit next to my last job. I remember there was so much hype for it to open. Customers would come in asking about it all the time. When it finally opened, I actually enjoyed getting a box of 4 cookies once a week when the flavors changed. Then as I kept eating them, I realized they all kind of taste the same. They obviously are unique cookies but they have a very distinct Crumbl flavor which actually started to gross me out after a while. They're very cakey and extremely sweet. They almost have a playdoh-like feel to them. I love soft cookies but these have a very distinct, odd texture which made it feel like I wasn't even eating a cookie. 720 calories for one cookie is also insane. When we got the 4 pack, my girlfriend and I would try like an 1/8 of each cookie and have little pieces of each throughout the week. I can't even imagine how unhealthy it would be to eat full Crumbl cookies consistently I worked in a Sleep Number store with pretty low traffic so our parking lot was usually empty. After Crumbl opened, the parking lot was always packed. There were constantly people going in an out. After about 6 months, traffic slowed way down. I think everyone who was interested in them finally tried them and decided if they wanted to go back which caused traffic to slow way down. They just build up so much hype from Facebook mom's and Instagram/Tiktok obsessed teenage girls that tell everyone they know about Crumbl. They definitely benefit from social media obsessed people who love to post their food to make others jealous

As a Utah native, I think their growth is going to slow down quite a bit. In this state they've already opened quite a few locations which mysteriously closed within 6 months due to lack of interest, such as the Eagle Mountain store. There is also a ton of competition in Utah already starting up which may spread to the rest of the country if the "cookie restaurant" dynamic proves successful. Competitors like Dirty Dough, Twisted Sugar, Swig, as well as tons of "dirty soda" (sodas restaurants with flavored syrups) chains which have started incorporating cookies have already started constricting Crumbl's reach here in the state. I also feel like the pandemic helped them grow a ton. Going out of your way to pick up a cookie is something not everyone will do, but back when people were all working from home and ordering food from Grubhub it was easy to staple on a cookie if you had a craving. Now people don't use those apps as much because of the prohibitive cost. The cookies are good don't get me wrong. I could see several of these restaurants spread outside of Utah, but I don't think it's going to become a Starbucks level phenomenon as far as an ultra specialized food place goes. The fact that they've already overexpanded and had to close locations in their home state which is also the state that a concept like this will work the best should be a warning.

Friendly reminder as per their Wikipedia article: "In December 2022, the U. S. Department of Labor fined 11 Crumbl Cookie franchises across six U.S. states[a] for violations of child labor laws impacting 46 workers who were minors.[25] Violations included assigning underage employees to shifts that exceeded the permitted hours and to tasks involving "potentially dangerous ovens and machinery". The parent company issued a statement apologizing and affirming their commitment to "a safe and welcoming work environment". Crumbl was fined $57,854 in total for the violations.[26]" There are several other reasons to not eat Crumbl cookies, but this one makes me not want to even try them.

I tried crumbl cookies once. It's literally just another cookie shop except they got famous from a bunch of TikTok posts from "influencers" it's like $20 for a box of 8 cookies and you could easily make the same exact cookies at home and get way more than 8 for $20..

Mrs. Fields has done this for over 45 years. This isn't new and there seems to be a natural barrier to this concept. All these mall snack companies have a limited audience. They aren't a destination like ice cream or real bakery. They are an impulse buy and that's where price is going to become a factor. This is going to be another one of those ride the wave franchises that will have lots of ups and downs

I do wonder where places like Insomnia Cookies fall in relation to places like Crumbl. Crumbl seems to be trying to target suburban areas, while places like Insomnia seem to target the younger college crowd. Insomnia's cookies are way smaller and there's more of an incentive to buy a dozen instead of just a couple.

I don't mind sweetness or the softness, but something about Crumbl's cookies just seems off. I'm not sure if that's the "under-baked" feeling people talk about, but I just can't stand them. In my opinion, they aren't worth the money (and these do tend to be rather expensive for cookies) or the experience. But if you really enjoy them, go for it! That said, their snickerdoodle cookie gave me a lot more respect for my own snickerdoodles. I'm very critical of anything I make, but realizing that I prefer mine over that of a giant company dedicated to cookies was quite a self-confidence boost.

I do remember trying Crumbl cookies for the first time when they first opened up a store by me about a year or two ago. Loved the idea of a rotating menu, and the cookies were always amazing. Im not sure if its just the store by me, but I have seen an ever so slight gradual decline in the quality of their product, be it presentation, or the cookies just dont taste as fresh as they did when I first tried it. It definitely has me worried that the company is overexpanding, and that a few years from now we'll be seeing a video from you about about what went wrong.

I worked for a Crumbl franchise store and it was honestly pretty fun, I got to meet a lot of friends there too. My first few months were really busy but it suddenly all came to a stop once they opened another location 20ish minutes away from ours. I also would bring a few cookies to school for my friends could try/eat for free (I worked the closing shift so I was able to bring a 6 pack home🤷). I will say though that their massive expansion will likely be it's diwnfall since many of these new locations seem to be opening near pre-existing stores.

I haven't heard of Crumbl Cookies before, but I want to go so much now after seeing Company Man's new video. As for the serving sizes, they're no more misleading than any other serving sizes in a grocery store. A serving size of ice cream is half a cup, for Pete's sake. And one can of Campbell's Chunky Soup is like 2 1/2 servings. So, one cookie being four servings is just par for the course.

Another interesting thing to note about Crumbl is the hours they’re open. They open at 8am every day (except Sunday, of course) and close at 10pm on weekdays and at midnight on Friday/Saturday. This is because the original store was near a college campus so they wanted to cater to college students at those times. I used to work at Crumbl, and while it was usually pretty slow during those times, we did have a few customers just before/at closing time.
