Falafels are deep-fried balls traditionally found in Middle Eastern cuisine. They are mostly made from chickpeas. Most recipes contain a range of herbs, spices and other ingredients, such as onion, parsley, coriander, garlic purée, cumin, black pepper, flour and vegetable oil.

1 cup white chickpeas i.e kabuli chana ( soak them overnight )
1 onion
1 fist coriander leaves
3-4 garlic cloves
1 tsp parsley
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp black pepper powder
2 pinch baking soda
oil for frying
