future experiments. Try using a softer metal to create a more evenly distributed force on those weaker brittle items such as; teeth, glass, prince rupert's drop. I think the total force woul go way up on some of those items.

Cavities caused by bacteria, not specific external force. Similar to how a iron are extremely tough but they rust over time, degradation and tougness are unrelated.

@@cocomunga ..yup...someone made a video of ruperts-drops...how thay shatter... was interesting see... laws of physics can at times be counter-intuitive... its the shape and how forces are distributed and canceling eachother out almost completely (if its a perfect drop and material)...

Its basically because the way in which the drops are formed results in a very densely compacted ball of glass with a lot of tension (hence why it shatters when the tail is snipped, its releasing the tension like a rubber band snapping back)

You should get a thermal camera like a FLIR E5 so people can see the heat transfer through the thing you are compressing. The cryo ball would be cool to see how it changes from -500F to +200F . just as an example...

Seeing the carbon fiber today just gives a little insight to why using it on the Titan submersible was a bad idea. Took hardly any pressure for it to start cracking and deform compared to the immense pressure it took so many thousands of feet under the ocean surface.
