You know what? I just recently realized why I love this fandom so much. It so happens that I lost a member of my family very recently. And having just watched this video, I understand now: You people are healers. All of you who create something beautiful and hopeful from a show initially targetted at little girls, you bring healing. And that's a wonderful gifts in those times of ours.

I'm still getting over the fact that someone wrote a (really good) fan fiction (based on the comments it was good, anyways) based on last Saturday's show, and someone else posted a dramatic reading of it ALL WITHIN FOUR DAYS OF THE SHOW AIRING!!! Does anyone else just find this freaking amazing? I've always said that this fandom moves fast before, but DANG, that's fast!

When this fandom pulls it's act together, Celestia dammit do they hit it out of the park, I recently lost my grandfather and this episode aired LITERALLY on the anniversary of his birthday. After Doctor wolf's analysis of the episode, I realized WHY I loved this episode and this reading doubles that. Bravo fandom for this, bravo Doctor for finding this...I love this fandom~

Timothy Domingo Aerith was a character in Final Fantasy 7 (the music playing in the background is 'Aerith's Theme'). Halfway through the game she is killed and to this day that scene is still known as one of the most shocking and heartbreaking events in a video game..

Thank you for honoring this story here. Tbh there were some people arguing with me about this story, and not everyone was very nice about it. Guys, just because Applejack feels this way, doesn't mean she 'lacks empathy' nor is this story saying Rainbow Dash isn't allowed to feel pain because AJ's pain was worse. It's deeper than that, and I'm sure everyone can relate to what she's saying here in some way or another.

Nothing like a big cup of feels first thing in the morning.XD Seriously though, this is some excellent fanfiction right there, it sounded so right for Applejack in a way, about such a situation if it turns out her parents really are dead and I was delighted by how fanfic Applejack ended up empathizing with Rainbow Dash. I cannot recall a time when Applejack was ever like, seriously crying in the show, it makes me wonder if such an episode will ever air and I hope it'll be something big that happens.

This was definitely a great find for an interpretative read, my friend. It goes very well with your AMWDW sessions. What Applejack felt in this story is a matter I, myself, struggle with far more than I'd like to. It's been only recently through therapy that I've discovered that part of the reason I don't cry so much when bad things happen is that, throughout my entire life, I've had a lot of bad things happen. So many traumas that, over time, broke me into what I had feared made me like Applejack. I "Cry on the inside" but feel so awful when it may seem I'm not properly empathizing. This story really hits home with a concept I've come to embrace through time. This being, "Nobody knows what 'worse' is except you." The whole concept that somebody could have it better, or worse, than you is subjective at best. For example, something that has torn my psyche to shreds may not have the same impact on someone else. Therefore, as we learned in "Lesson: Zero", it is important to take the feelings of others into consideration. We can't put down someone's emotions if we feel like, "They have no idea what it is really like...". Heck, once again, that person you may be putting down could actually have no trouble with the traumas you've had. So keeping an open mind, open heart, and helping hand available to soothe while listening is key to ensuring we respect each other. We may not all feel the same emotions to the same things. But we do feel emotions. So, at this common level, we can all agree that if someone is hurt, we help ease the pain.

I knew I was going to be emotionally drained by this. That's why I put it off for so long, and then stared at it in my subs list for some time before clicking. In this, AJ realizes that the pain of loss comes in many forms, and none are less valid than any other. When you lose the one thing that makes life worth living, it's harder than anyone can really admit or understand right away. For me, it was the loss of my son. He's not dead, he just lives with his mother out of state. Sure I'll get to see him on occasion, but each day that passes, he grows a little older and it's another event that I miss in his life, and that's a pain that echoes in my heart and head every day. No, I don't cry myself to sleep every night, though tonight might be one of them, but when you live your life like that, crying on the inside is the only way to keep things together.

Hello DrWolf. i'm a brony from the netherlands and a great fan of your awesome work. i wanna say WAUW, you seriously have an awesome voice how you make your video's, especially this one. the story and song work so perfect with each other, it even made me also cry. and besides that i'm a brony, i'm also a huge FF7 fan. i also would like to say thank you for using aerith's theme song in this video, i just love that song. and listening to this video i had a little question, have you ever saw the movie FF7 Advent Children? it's my favorite FF7 movie. lastly i would like to say, keep up the Awesome work you do to making youtube video's, they are all a 12/10 in my book. i really hope to meet you someday, that would be awesome. Greetings: Nico.

Leonard Greenpaw I think its a post event reflection. I'm talking literally right after her "it's true" statement. She opens up with a response to pinkie's statement. If it was meant to be as they were then her wording would have been different. But it doesn't matter. its all up to interpretation.

I'm going to be honest here...this fic and the episode it's based on? It kinda feels like a slap to the face. See...growing up, I saw plenty of movies and shows that didn't beat around the Bush about death. Even if temporary. There's a reason why certain anime feels genuine at the loss and others don't; *because the reaction and circumstances match what is being displayed! Even temporary deaths are still death.* so I'm sorry but I can't bring myself to feel anything but annoyance here. Tank. Isn't. Dying. He isn't facing a terminal illness. He's not in a coma. He's just going through a normal part of his life. It's not any different than a bear sleeping through the winter or a catipiller going into a cocoon or whatnot. They still come back.
