My father was also molested at a young age (8yo). He wrestled with it also, and fell into drugs and drinking. He eventually began to heal it, by speaking about it and helping others who had also been molested as children. Leo, thank you so much for speaking about it. It can feel very shameful, but as you said it is never a kid's fault. Speaking about it will help other men speak out and begin to heal also. I hope that one day we can all come together to get much longer sentences for child rapists, as well as make victims - especially children - less afraid to speak out. Thank you again for speaking out. I hope, like my Dad, you one day find some peace and healing.

Be very proud to be honest enough to tell you’re story. Be proud of yourself for carrying on with life and pushing through. It’s ok. I struggled with crystal meth for ten years and embarrassed myself being taken advantage of similar to you but at an older age and I had to realize it didn’t define me either. You’re not alone. God bless you, man. Consider taking an ADD test and get on adderall and maybe a a 10 mg Valium to help with your anxiety because the meth will kill you. Please consider other options. You can break through and have a good “normal” life. A peaceful life. Just remember everyone lives and lives at their own pace. Take care.

Human suffering is one of the hardest things about being alive. Whether it's at the hands of others or your own mind I don't know how we are not more empathetic as humans ourselves, to others. People who judge and don't understand addiction look at it so simply as a choice when it is in fact a disease plagued by trauma and tragedy. I've seen it, I've experienced it and I've learned from others just how complex it is. The root of the problem starts before you ever touch that drug and it's sad people don't understand that. It's no excuse but people have reasons and maybe you don't agree with that, but the least we could do is try to understand it and then maybe we could do more in helping rid of this disease and help others live the lives they deserve, free of suffering.

When it goes away that pain comes back....damn the story of everyone's life when tangled in addiction

I'm not believing the order of operations/gateway drug usage. Heck... how do you cut out drinking, but not cut out meth? Just sayin'. Then he tells it how it is with therapists spot on. Seems like a kind soul that cuts through the bs. Complex PTSD is a batch. Thank you for another insightful interview

That’s how it works, we switch substances without addressing the underlying cause. I’ve transitioned from alcohol to opiates to adderall to meth then back to adderall and so on and so on. You get so used to chaos and insanity it becomes your normal.

Great talk Leo. U remind me a lot of me. I get it that for us we can’t help other till we have helped ourselves. I feel like this a lot. Think I’m running in a line towards my sanity. Only to find ten years gone byn my idea of sanity has changed a lil but most of my running was all in place. N ten years gone. What I’m trying is to put my sanity aside enough times a week to ‘be there’ - to listen, think, assist - for people in n around my life. Has turned out there’s things I can do that are meaningful in other peoples lives. Things that give me the-heebie-jeebies stop do for myself. And there is reward for me in this. I guess ur short on resources. Me too. But here’s the last word. Be on the lookout for where u can add some positivity or lessen someone else’s suffering by whatever means u can contribute. Help ur wife too. But wife’s more complicated😅 Best to you Leo. Enjoyed your company this afternoon. Rock on n take good care!!

Shocking stories like this remind me of the Shakespeare quote: 'Hell is empty..all the demons are here' I hope those that molested him die lonely, painful deaths..

I have been an addict but this guy has it all twisted…. It’s the boof talking… addict doesn’t choose to be an addict and then simply just quit when they are ready?! Lol 😂
