Awesome value for the price, nice design, very good rear suspension geometry. I like a smooth throttle too, and programmed the torque ramping on my bike for smoothness and precision. The Citizen Cycle is a drag race beast, but reaches the motor's "natural" RPM for the voltage at a lower speed because of the 5x gear reduction. The Cyclone is direct drive, so the top speed will be higher by default. By the way, that's a motorcycle. Welding bicycle pedals on a Harley and keeping it at 20mph will not make you welcome on sidewalks and bicycle paths 😉. Excellent video and I loved the drag races!

You can easily replace that 80 amp controller with a 150 W or a 200 W controller and get a major increase in acceleration. And there is also the option of going with a 96 V battery to start. I am convinced that the 5000 W motor With two minor modifications is more than enough motor to see 70+ mile an hour and still give you a better ride quality with less unsprung weight. Both modifications are relatively easy simply adding ferrofluid, preferably without drilling a hole into the motor, but that is an option and then adding cooling fins to help dissipate heat. Increasing the main wiring size is also not a bad idea. You can still keep the docile riding profile for riding in the park.

Only problem with that you have to match the battery BMS …. If the battery is 100a you can use a 150A controller

I'm always late to the party. Awesome video Bryan. I'm been busy building a wheelchair ramp to better get the ebikes in the house. Been so busy I've barely had time to ride. Also building an upgraded critter condo to feed the local possums and raccoons from. Got a roof over this one to keep the food dry during the rains. Even have a fox that's becoming a regular at the feed bowls. I'm so surprised at well this video turned out. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be in one of your videos. I have a whole new respect for the Citizen Bike now. If you ever decide to do a group ride in your area, just let me and Debra know.

CS20 Cyclone has the same LCD controller as the Aostirmotor, Splach e-bikes. Accessing the Advanced settings, 1801 password is consistent across all their bikes. Config settings are complex and you need to contact the e-bike manufacturer to obtain settings for peak performance.

something that may make CitizenCycle more rideable is turning the start strength (P12 maybe) down and/or use non-zero start (P09?) on your front motor. This helped on my dual motor Townie build which has a serious rear-wheel weight bias.

@@johnnylong2049 Best of luck with the DNM Coil shock. Have you seen the videos on the P51 Bullet? Wow, that thing has some serious suspension. I believe it will give my Cyclone a run for the money. Which is why sometime in the next 6 to 8 months I will be building one. It’s great if it will do 60 mile an hour but I don’t need it. I would far prefer to set it at 35 mph and get a reliable 50 miles with 40-100 lbs of groceries on the last half of the trip. And never have the thought of peddling to make it cross my mind. Lol. As to any insurance liabilities, that should be assumed to be a matter of law based on who’s at fault. Someone has a very limited understanding of everyone’s right to use the roads.
