Good stuff my friend, loaded or empty, I love a good coal train. Great seeing that swing bridge action too!

Thank you dawg!! I’m a suck for a unit hopper train as well, and that bridge is super cool! I had to find a way to speed it up because that took a good while, lol. Thank you for watching!

Nice catch and video in different locations. Don't like seeing all the coal fired plants disappearing especially after a lot of them poured millions on fixing them up then tearing them down. What a waste of money. I will leave it at that. Have a wonderful rest of your Tuesday.(Steve)

Thank you Steve! I very much agree, it just seems like a huge waste of money. Sucks chasing a coal train for a sad occasion but at least it happened I guess lol. Enjoy your afternoon bud, glad you enjoyed the video!

Sadly a sign of things to continue across the country as coal plants shut down. Really liked the swing bridge and @ 12::00 the alignment of the train and the electrical wires is virtually perfect. The poor SRNJ has that frantic look of guess what's coming today. As time is marching on will those Hoppers ever load another trade of coal?

It’s a sad state of affairs indeed, agreed on the swing bridge too, one of the cooler things to see down there! Not sure what’s gonna happen with the consist but I’d imagine it’s gonna be down there a while.

I think you got one of your locations backward. It should be Westville, not Westfield. The latter is in northern NJ.

Ahhh, thank you for pointing that out, glad I got the title in the video correct and I just have to fix the chapters at least, I must have been thinking of Westfield Ave. 🤦♂️

5 years ago I looked at the CO and CO2 and Methane level sensors from around the globe each day. Incredibly, and I didn't know why at that time, the levels were the highest in the world in NJ and especially right along the Delaware river just north of Easton. After looking for a pattern I found out that the coal, now gas, fired power plants cause the worst air quality in the world in NJ and PA These plants supply power for NYC It causes the air quality in Bucks County PA north of Philadelphia to be the worst anywhere in the world on most days. Although you can't see it, if you use a ultra filter, like I use on my respirator, it turns black in just 7 days. It should take a year to get that bad It is really awful. Every day a layer of fine particles covers everything and if you don't drive for a week and then go out and turn on the wipers it is like mud
