We tested our bridge in various ways. We tested our bridge by applying stress from the bridge (we tested it upside-down) using a machine, which counts how many pounds of pressure is applied to the surface. Our bridge managed to withstand 134 lbs. before it was unloaded by Amir.
For fun, we had our bridge tested by a student (who weighs less than 134 pounds) sit on our bridge. Also, some of us did a "people elbow" slam on the bridge later.
Each group is scored on their bridge's mass and how many pounds were applied. The goal is to have less weight while withstanding many pounds of stress. The team with the best ratio of weight to stress wins 1ST place. Our team took 2ND place.
