Good advice Sam, well done video as usual. I took my bumper cover off to put big zip ties around the ECU. Do you have any recommendations for replacement shocks and struts (and a source)? Thanks

Thank you Paul! Glad you liked the content. The best recommendation I can make for V1 struts is the KW Variant 3 Coil-Over, they are pricey though. Another alternative to look into is Feal and BC coilovers. But I haven't used any of them I'm still on stock FE4. So you might want to make a post or two in a few groups and field feedback from the guys who used both and see what users say about them.

What is the name of the "Plastic Weld" you speak of as well as the repair mesh. Thanks in advance.

Search in Amazon for "Upgraded 220W Plastic Welder" there will be plenty of kits. One of the overall picks will do as long as they include staples filler material mesh and gun tips for melting plastic. Should be around $30 give or take. Hope that helps.

Watch out for the splash shield bolts under the radiator support holes. Too long and they will break the radiator when it bottoms out in the rubber bushings. I used rivnuts there. What type of push button plastic rivots did you use for the front of the splash shield? I am still using zip ties as I know they wont come undone.

That's a good point, as you can see in the video, I didn't make those M10 bolts excessively long on purpose. I had already checked how much room there is before the bolt bottoms out and left some extra space too. I was considering doing it with rivetnuts but didn't have any handy, but I own a big tap and die set so I used what I had handy and found it to be sufficient for this purpose, but yes I agree if one has rivetnuts on hand it would actually be better. IIRC plastic pushrivets I used are 1861PK don't remember the manufacturer they are 8mm ones (5/16").
