@@marcydiaz6950 Ive been to cuba and it is very close to communism (at least in the rural communities) and the people love it. If you think that capitalism is any better than socialism and communism, then you’re simply wrong. Don’t try to educate someone on a matter that they’ve experienced. Of course the country has issues but it’s not extremely oppressive and the people actually do support the government and the system. They don’t need freedom from communism, they need freedom from US sanctions.

My old neighbor grew up in Cuba and left when she was 20. She's 43 now. Hearing her stories was crazy, she saved and used everything. Amazon and other companies were delivering to her house daily. One day I went inside after her daughter and my son were done playing and the upstairs was full of boxes. I asked her what it was and she told me to open some boxes cause she got a phone call. It was full of over the counter meds. Children's clothes and shoes. Adult men and women clothes, shoes, socks and underwear. Different perishable foods. Cleaning stuff. Hygienic items of EVERY KIND. Once she got off the phone I asked her why she had that and essentially told me something similar to what this guy said. She explained how expensive things are. How it's almost impossible to buy this kind of thing there. She orders all of that out of her own pocket and sends ALL of it to her family in Cuba. It was not cheap to send it, but she did it. I have lived in America my entire life and almost couldn't comprehend her stories and sure as hell couldn't relate. My hardest times in life were NOTHING to what her family and all of Cuba continues to go through

Most people go days without eating food. A bag of flour or rice is extremely hard to find. I was able to bring eye glasses to help people out and learned that eye glasses cost 25$. So a normal person would have to pay more than a months wages to get eye glasses. More specifically, them talking about America, totally unsolicited, and just how much they loved their new country. It literally moved me to tears a few times & they couldn't understand why I was so moved. I explained that all we hear anymore is everyone talking about how horrible America is & here were these people who talked openly & freely of their love for our country & how happy they were. How lucky we are to live in this country.... even with all of it's faults and problems. Thank you for reminding us how blessed we are, and how others suffer everyday because of their governments and politics. We all want the same things! ❤ -Mike

To clarified what the guy in the video said, the pack of gum in Cuba cost $25.00 which is half the salary of a doctor which is $50.00 per month and the pack of gum he is holding in his pocket has 36 gums that cost $1.00 each, that's why he said he has $36.00 in his pocket

I love how there's inspirational music over it, as if this isn't a clear example of how the USA dicked Cuba down. As if the decades of hardship forced on it's people had anything to do with the government that ruled them, or the officials that could afford to avoid that hardship.

@@Ali_D_Katt yes but they can trade with other countries. Are you saying being unable to trade with one country ruins their whole economy? It’s been 64 years and they still haven’t been able to fix it? Yet Castro was able to construct a whole stadium sized building just for ice cream. Weird how his people starved yet he was able to eat 6 pints of the fucking stuff almost everyday. Dude can command scientists and farmers to breed two species of cows together in hopes of creating a cow that can survive in the Cuban heat while still being able to produce milk only for him to get one cow (ubre Blanca) have it die and then use the Cuban people tax dollars to erect a statue of the cow now after hearing all of that how do you think he paid for it all?
