@CasmoTV i had the same issue with the screen placement. I contacted him and let him know and he actually made another lua for me so I could have my monitors in the "appropriate" positions. somthing to think about. with the language barrier i did send him a drawing to show him what i needed for my set up.

Those lua files are worth a ton. Peripherals and mapping I feel can make it break the experience for some. When I had a total hardware/software melt down it took me 6 months to get back to dcs just because I didn’t want/have the time to remap and I still definitely don’t get into it very often at all anymore. Sweet setup and thanks for putting this together.
@MartusTube
Жыл бұрын
Those lua files are worthless. The setup is such that the screens are arranged horizontally, which means that, DCS being poorly optimized, will process the full height of the highest screen behind the scenes. In other words - if you look at the diagram @7:28, and draw an imaginary box to encapsulate all of the screens - that's what DCS' new full screen resolution will be. So in that imaginary rectangle, in all of the dead space below the smaller displays on the left and right, DCS will still process trees, units, shadows, etc., even though you don't see them. You want to set up your external displays above the main monitor, so DCS only has to process the sky in the background, which is considerably less taxing.

Great hardware but as you say the lack of instructions caused me some headaches as well. The USB cables and power connections could have been a few inches longer as well. I needed to change the LUA file my self to still be able to see the mini input screen. Now I still have problems accessing my kneeboard.

Well while having built at home a quite comprehensive hardware cockpit using TM Cougar with home built LCD and other stuff with touch portal and iPad to emulate the UFC, I finally decided to fly only in VR with my HP G2 and I must say that after being accustomed to I will never go back to hardware cockpit and monitor even in 4K or multi and even with track IR device. The immersion is so much terrific in VR ….. 😊😊
