Incredible dicipline from the Doctor. I couldn't do it, it would be like torture. Could not resist loving and snuggling the hell out of those babies.

Everyone loves hugging baby animals, but this dude shows how much he cares by making sure they're ready to go back to the wild! (aka can't become attached, etc etc.). To me, resisting the cuteness for their own sake is really an epic thing to do. You go, Dr. Pazhitnov!!!!!

This is the same thing I struggle with when working with baby birds. They're just too cute, but we can't risk them habituating to humans because most people aren't as kind as us.
@J_Somin95

Yeah I also struggled with that,that goes to raising every wild animal,other people might think we are very upset and mad raising them,but the truth is that caregivers do love every single animal they raise,but they can't show it openly because it is a high risk doing it

ShootingStarAJM He has the kindest heart because he is teaching the Bears to avoid humans who are the most dangerous predator on the planet. That''s what we do with the possums in our backyard. We avoid any contact with them. We want them to fear humans who want to cull them. Possums who have lived in the antipodes for millions of years are now considered pests by psychotic humans.

Unfortunately we all need affection to develop, I know they don't have to be attached to humans but at least give them teddy bears to hug. Scientists used to do horrific tests on abandoned babies, they left them for months years without human contact, just giving bath food little interaction to learn langage, and did that at different levels to the kids and they were really retarded when they didn't have attention affection and cried alone

@J_Somin95
Жыл бұрын
What the narration is trying to say is that in order to raise wild animals,it is an obligation to limit contact with the animals unless to interfere in feeding,cleaning and doing medical checks,in other words,avoid creating affectional bonds because with this way it will be easier to set them free and prevent the animals form getting harmed by other people once they're released

@J_Somin95

I get what is your point,is not about if they can see their caregiver,it's about that they just relate their caregiver as someone who's there to give them food,shelter and healthcare,things like affection can't be given to them because if they develop affection it will be difficult to set them free,and plus not everyone is kind and might end up killing these bears
@kutzewalters5530
11 ай бұрын
That might be true for the bears. But 99% of the human population who have no experience with bears will shoot a one if they see it coming towards them in the wild. Regardless of its intentions.
