There is no such as pure Filipino. Filipino itself is by the way referring to a mixed of east and west majority of Spanish. That is indigenous Filipinos while WE naman are Hispanic Filipinos. What's wrong of having Hispanic. We are Hispanic already since birth from our parents and our parents' parents. Whether we like it or NOT Philippines cannot be Philippine territory, nation and country without Spain. Filipinos now enjoy the culture based on food, celebrations and merrymaking because of Spanish cultural heritage. Some of us are born because our great great grandparents of east and west met. My great grandmother to the mother side is by the way a daughter of a Spanish- Portuguese migrant and a Filipino-Spanish man. My father side are also rooted from the mestizo family of Ilo-ilo. How dare you to keep the concept that cannot even be real. Ask anybody if who among from the plain people wanted to live like badjao, (gorots or Dumagats. Only the books tell it but in reality we cannot live on the so called indigenous life of those people. We are mixed. Only we were born here in the Philippines. No one can move forward if he doesn't take credit the contribution of both parents. That is the fact. You cannot make 2 if you do not add the two 1's.

@@carlomartinez2571 Filipinos are 100% austronesian, the Spanish just hispanicized them with names, cultural dances, food and religion but the Spanish never really settlement in the Philippines to mixed up with the people or locals. The Spanish occupation in the Philippines wasn’t the same as it was in Latin America where they stayed and mixed up with all native and ethnic groups that were brought over. Only less then 1% of Filipinos have Spanish ancestry due to the rich aristocracy mainly dominating the country even after Spanish and American occupation.

The ifugao native dance performed is enhanced or modernized not the original for the sake of presentation. The cultural bearers may say something about this.. It is understood however, that the cordilleran dances were presented for the purpose....of that summit if so whatever to other countries..

I notice Philippine ethnic dance is very monotonous. Very primitive too. The piece of clothing took time to evolve. While other Asians wear voluminous yards of silk and cottons, Philippines settled with being almost nude - loincloth.

It seems that you didn't even know what it meant when we say traditional or cultural attire. Be reminded also that Cordillera was been secluded due to Spanish colonization for more than 330 yrs. Due to this reason that they weren't able to trade outside of their region due to the presence of Spaniards surrounding our region and them (Igorot fierce warrior) protecting and fighting for their land from the invaders that made them avoid slavery. The reason also of Igorots only having the g string attire for men I believe is because it present strong body physique and bravery. In old era tribal war is present becuz each tribe is territorial. Every tribe needs to present strong dominance to scare their opponents or enemy. It's a normal attire a long time ago and doesn't have immoral meaning. If a person put such negative meaning to it when in fact it was presented as a cultural attire then it is your eye and mind that is the problem. Artistic people see it as art but to those ignorant it becomes something else cuz of their bad imagination. Be reminded also that the weaving of their attire has significant meaning and does identify one's to what ethnic group or province they belong. That's arts.
