Thanks to this video I was able to fix my truck. Mine would crank over as well and only turn on with starting fluid. Then started dying at idle. But if I set the idle like 250rpm higher, it would stay on. My mechanics and I thought it was a weak fuel pump. Couldn’t find a new crank sensor, so got a used one from the junk yard. Cut an 11/16 just like yours. And swapped it out. Then truck turn right on after that. I’ll be returning the fuel pump, and not wasting $1000. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge

Once you did the investment on putting a new fuel pump, you should also replace your fuel hoses and return lines that goes to the back of your fill tanks. Probably dirt or pieces of rubber from your hoses clogged your check valves it’ll help with performance and also starting performance.

25 psi instant upon crank. 150 psi running. Fuel pump only provides flow to heads. Check valve in ecm plate, pull jic tip off, stretch spring clean check valve, put back in. Also make sure 2 positives and one ecm wires come off only one of 4 batteries. Always. Yup cam sensor it keeps wearing tip is a problem

@@anthonycary947 if you have 4 batteries, always make sure ecm pos and negative comes off one battery. Otherwise you can have mystery voltage spikes and inactive codes. Had a fleet of 30 n14s. Bulket proof engine but that was the first gremlins from brand new. Once I learnt that got rid of weird little pop ups and erratic running.

@@ronaldmicheau5086 Any engine with an ECM is not considered a mechanical engine. An N14 is an electronic engine. You have to go back a few years from the N14 to the old 855's to be a mechanical engine. Take care!
