I loved the BC3 400 I ran, smooth power and torque from 1500rpm up. It was mated to a 15spd, a 13spd would have been perfect and kept it in its peak power rpm. Would easily keep up with Cats of the dame horsepower, pass a few as well.

I guess I'm thrown out of school because mechanical engine scare me; not that I want the most recent ones with more sensors and wiring than they have steel but I'll take my 1999 N14 Celect Plus and let the electric computer figure things out.

Love those old 855 big cams! My brother and i Had the opportunity to do an inframe on one.. Im curious as to how it will dyno within safe operation? And a question as to why you couldn't eliminate the after cooler and run it with an air to air... The intake manifold off an N14 will fit right on the big cam... The early N14 were mechanical also...

That is factory set up on old cummins, but came out on earlier big cams as far as i know.it was just part of the beginings of playing with timming to meet emissions for those times.later on cummins brought out variable timming in the injector itself called stc, stepped timming control.from there they went electronic to celect product.
