Why add a potential failure point at a cost exceeding your next coolant change? isn't the interval 100K

There is a lot more , real-estate in that Dodge... than under the hood of my Fummins. 2004 F350 with a 2018 6.7 CR Cummins. I have the coolant filter kit off the 6.0 we pulled out.... Im looking for a spot to mount the housing- the factory spot has an air filter in the way now.

Hey brother cool video, I'm subscribing to your channel. I'm just curious though is it absolutely necessary to put that filter down on the frame rail like that? I have a 2006 5.9 with a Rough Country lift kit and the kit comes with lower control arm drop brackets that use that hole, I'd definitely have to stray from what the kit specifies. Hell I'd like it inside my engine compartment if possible!

+Russ Cline Trust me I didn't want it down there either but the engine compartment is pretty tight. Plus the hoses have factory crimped on ends. A place called the Diesel Site has coolant filter kits also maybe check those ones out.

couldn't help but to notice you tied the return into the pressure side of the heater core. running both hoses off the head makes the system useless. the return is to go down to the heater core return hose down by the water pump. pressure from the head, no pressure down by the water pump where the heater core return goes.

+smalltownpower yes what you are saying is correct. But I think the idea behind this kit is to be more like a bypass style filter instead of a full flow. So a fraction of pressurized water goes through the filter and then meets back up with the rest of it at the heater core line. I understand that both sides are pressurized but water is still flowing through the system to make it work.

How did you like those General Grabbers? Do they hold up for awhile?

I love these tires. My truck is not a daily driver but they're about 4 years old and have about 20k miles on them. They wear really good and quieter then most mud terrain type tires. If your looking for a less expensive alternative check out my other video of Kenda Klever mud terrain. Very nice tire and very affordable. Thanks for watching!
