There is a certain amount of bias, but it shouldn't really be perceivable with folks who understand all of the tested concepts (ex. pattern rec., math, logic, etc.). I'm know i'm very good at reading people, detecting a pattern, and predicting human behavior. I'd like to think I have good common sense. And I'm just a little bit better than most when solving problems and thought organizing. But apart from this, I don't think I'm better than anyone. IQ tests are only BS if you don’t know what they’re measuring. They measure rate of learning roughly. You can learn fast and not give a shit about tests. Other people can be slow learners but very hard workers. Some other people are more creative and might be better at problem solving as a result. IQ is not a measure of someone’s worth as a human being. Unfortuantely, the vast amount of people who object to the validity of an IQ test, be they high scorers or low, often are implying that that’s what it purports to measure

@@prototype8137 Yeah I think with him he said he thinks he ranks a bit higher than most of them because in his training he basically needs the two skills you mentioned and like in the military depending which department you are in, you are working with some advanced technology (I think he even specified what his job is too and it was something with engineering I think or like he was part of a team that operates something I can't remember). Like it takes quite a bit to be able to work in the military not just being fit and being able to use a gun like some people think.

this quote seems dumb out of date. Who other than completely narcissistic people in general would go around acting like they know everything just because they have a PhD? This feels like something dumb people say about people who go to college. The quote is talking about such a cliché type of person you'd see in a movie. I don't go around thinking all farmers just have sex with their animals because they have easy access to them. Why even bother saying just because you have a PhD doesn't mean you suddenly know everything, that goes without saying. What im getting at is this chick is obviously a narcissist who is probably very good at understanding things regarding the field her PhD is in. She just so happens to equate that PhD to her overall intelligence, that doesn't mean most people who get a PhD act like her. If anything, someone who has a PhD in a certain field would know not to speak on things they have no real fundamental understanding of. This curb style vid was made to make fun of someone who thought they were super smart because of going to college, in actuality this is just a very narcissist person being made fun of for a video on KZitem. All that being said, i think the video is very funny.

@@FactStorm yeah, its really an insukt for mcd workers coz even if that lady works in a biotech company and have studied psychology or whatever and EVEN IF SHE makes WAY MORE MONEY Than a Mcd worker doesnt mean she is intelligent!! Always the DUMB people rule the world whereas the GREAT SCIENTISTS have led thier life in poverty sadly!!! Its human history!!! Maybe the McD worker is a ScienceGuy and knows more than most other people but he/she is doing that job just to earn some bread for the day and rest he/she focuses on Research in his Small Lab kn the basement of his house!!! OR MAYBE McD worker is a great Painter, photographer Soccer Player or Cricketer but isn't selected in the team as of now!!! Einstein was used to work as a Clerk! M.S. Dhoni, former Indian Team Captain used to work in Railways before getting selected in India's Cricket Team!!! He was even rejected but he never left his hope and triex again!!! DHONI became the Best captain for India!!!🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 U can watch his biopic and read about him also!!!

That might be a coincidence honestly. I don't know whether intelligence, by any metric, has a correlation to how a person dresses but in my experience, my colleagues and friends are quick to associate things such as wearing makeup or dressing with a style/aesthetic with being less academically inclined. However, this association is only mentioned as a justification for other biases. When high-scoring students come to class dressed well, it is a sign of how well-organized and professional they are. When low-scoring students do the same, moral judgments start incoming. Suddenly, any jewelry becomes a sign of how vain and shallow a person is, and time spent taking care of one's appearances is time that "could have been spent on academics". It reminds me of that saying where "if the rich wear it, it's classy, but if the poor wear it, it's trashy."

@@emily_loves_httyd I would say it depends on the occassion. Can't gauge someone's intelligence by the attire they put on for a show. It's a show that goes out to many many people to see so most people would want to look good on that. Then again there are those who don't care about that kind of stuff.

I actually know two scientists, and they're married. Very normal and modest people. The wife though does tend to stand out, since she is a very beautiful looking Lebanese born lady. That's the only thing though that stands out, they don't drive expensive vehicles or wear flashy or trendy clothing. Modest, affordable, and practical is their lifestyle.

Experience ≈ Knowledge ≠ Intelligence Not only does Maria 'win' the spot for lowest IQ, she also 'wins' the largest difference in IQ between herself and the next highest.
