I'm so happy you're in the 0.1% (or less!) And it's just like you to wish that everyone could have the same outcome. Good look on your upcoming ct scan and possible procedures (and your humanitarian project - and everything!) Thanks for keeping us updated!

Thank you so much! I get the CT result in a few hours, so I'll do another video this evening. If it's bad news I'll look for a non-surgical option as quickly as possible.

Thank you for watching my video. I feel so grateful to the medical staff in Japan. There's no way would have survived this long if I'd stayed in the UK. With NHS treatment 7-9 months was likely, maybe a year if I was extremely lucking. Even today, 6 years later, a patient in the UK with my level and spread of cancer would only live 15 months if their treatment went well.

Congratulations on your 6 year anniversary. That’s fantastic, I’m so glad you are getting such great care in Japan. Your non profit organization sounds very important. I was not aware of balloon angioplasty to get adhesions to break up. I’ve had so many surgeries for adhesive bowel obstructions, but the adhesions come back inevitably. Good luck on your CT scan. Thanks for sharing this great information!

Thank you for watching my video, and thank you for your kind words! Have you tried Metformin (Glucophage) for adhesions? It's a drug for diabetes but there was some research showing it reversed fibrosis in the heart, it's possible that it could help, over time. Surgical adhesions are very mysterious. It's an area of particular interest to me because I want to make improvements to medicine that impact a massive number of people. For example, I hope to make a drug that is used before a second surgery and marks the fibrosis/adhesions from the first one. This would help surgeons greatly because adhesions and nerve tissue looks the same. I've seen lots of information about preventing surgical adhesions by taking care during surgery, but very little about reversing adhesions. There are surgical techniques to remove adhesions (adhesiolysis) but it can cause more adhesions to form, requiring more surgery.
