I enjoyed both these match videos this one and Drayton. I don't understand why people would want you to try a harder water when you're trying to make it entertaining and fish a match between you both. Keep the videos coming, they're enjoyable and it's nice to see the banter between two people who are obviously good friends. Keep up the good work Guys!!

I watched these in the wrong order (Thorpe Lea first), but enjoyed all 3 of them. Exactly as the comment you read out, the reason these videos work so well is because it's a couple of mates having a friendly competition (with a few insults thrown in) yet helping each other out when needed; very relatable. Looking forward to Curly vs Luke #4, good stuff 👍

A few tips with fishing the method feeder would be to use short (4-6 inches), supple hooklengths as you want the hookbait to stay in the pile of bait rather than kick away, it's exactly like solid bag fishing in this respect. The other tip would be to recast regularly, it doesn't take roach and other small fish long to destroy a method ball and leave you with nothing without giving you so much as a beep, the more fish in the pond the more regularly you want to recast, it's not really a chuck it and leave it sort of approach. When making your mix it should be the first thing you do because it'll take about half an hour to soak up the liquid and reach the true consistency so get it mixed before leading around/setting up your gear. The other thing is to gradually add the liquid rather than dump it all in at once, you can always add more but you can't take it out and it's really hard to get good consistency if you've overwetted it initially.

Used to fish there.... the deeper water 11-12' is the bank opposite you ! Rest of it is 4' pretty much all over. Shame they added so many F1's. But they do like a pole match there. There were a couple of notable fish some years back, to low 30's. Try Bishops Bowl main lake. The quarry has depth and good fish 👍👍 Good light hearted banter vid lads 👍👍👍

This time of year and a match between mates needs a good runs water to make it fun. Ignore the negative comments. Your videos come over as two great mates who enjoy each other’s company and, like most of us, sometimes we have a red day, but more likely we have a session where nothing happens. Nobody’s fault, that’s carp fishing. Keep doing what you do because I’m sure we can all relate to you both. Joe - I think you should give Luke a chance and fish your rigs without hooks and let him win. That’s what a real mate would do.
