What a cool currently inked! I love how you chose your pens and inks this time around. I think my fave ink here is the Diamine Wagner. I’ve had my eye on that one for a while, and it looks beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing! 🧡😸🖋

@Rohrer & Klingner BluMare: I would have pronounced that more in an Italian fashion, so that the a in "BluMare" is long, and the e short. That would fit to the colour nicely, because it is a nice colour of a tropical, warm, sunny ocean with a nice beach of bright, fine sand... In english you'd associate a (not so deep, but shallow) Sea. BluMare, when pronounced the italian way. You'd probably call that blue lagoon or so, if you hadn't in mind Italy, when naming that. But the name of Ink is always the first step of marketing and selling it. And since Rohrer & Klingner is a german maufacturer and normally uses german names, as you can see with "Altgoldgrün" Which translates to "Old Gold green", when taken into English word by word, they probably chose a connection to Italy because that is where many Germans spend their holydays, at the beaches around Rimini, classically since the very years after WW II. It is far enough south so you can count on sunny and hot weather in Summer, and it is (from Germany) close enough to reach it by train or Car within some 10 to 12 hours, so you could get there without having to rest overnight somewhere and thus loosing two more days for the journey alone, or having to fly, which is what only the rich could afford up until the early eighties. So, by choosing an italian-sounding name for a blue colour like this, they can hope to put up some nice childhood-memories from the past in a good part of the potential buyers... not so bad an idea.

@@lianelikes When receiving the message about your kind answer and rereading the above, it got me even further, since there are other associations possible with the name of that ink, because it is not only Italian, but the same in Latin too, and then the thought came to mind, that there is an other Ink by Rohrer & Klingner, bearing a name in Latin too, which is "Heliantus", what is a sunflower, if I got it right. It is a yellow which quite nicely fits to that description. So, BluMare does not only bring up some good memories or dreams, as to those who haven't spent holydays in Italy or elsewhere at a blue sea can dream about, but one can also even pretend to be educated by taking it for Latin; which is the string to capture the attention of a more literate or even poetic sort of being among the potential buyers, which is not so far fetched too, when it comes to Ink. Since writing with a fountain pen or a nib holder, and doing calligraphy or being creative in mind by putting well-chosen words to paper or even writing poems or novels is taking some time to think in wider circles, so you can hope to connect by a name like this.

I would have a really hard figuring out which pen I own was most recently released. I've never really bought, like, a brand new pen, they've always been out for at least a couple of years when I got them. Maybe my Narwhal Schuylkill? That would be my best guess.

Yeah, I imagine the Narwhal pens would be some of the newest pens in the market?

Thanks so much, I enjoy making these videos! Best of luck with the glass nib. I actually had a really hard time finding another glass nib when my first one broke (I was heartbroken!!!!). So graciously, a viewer passed along an extra one she had, that’s how I got mine. I sincerely hope that kakimori releases more this year!
