Pristine, safe streets… skirts, not pant suits…. no voting ever again… male-only secret service… airline pilots who ALL look like John Bolton and fly like Howard Hughs… things that make sense. Curtis is the only guy talking about HOW to get me what I want. Everyone else on the right, just criticizes. Everyone just “explains” why “x” thing the left did that day was bad, how ”x” happened, and how much better it was before “x”. I want it fixed. Don’t care how.

For sure, They still bleed hobbit blood regardless of any ascension process. Sam even with his love for elves cares about the Shire more than Rivendell, sure he makes it a bit more elvish with the trees and all but he's a hobbits hobbit by the end.
@Sir_TophamHatt

@@erikphillips7486 That’s correct. And by the same token, i think Yarvin would say that there’s nothing genetically or culturally precluding hobbit-types from becoming elves (re: elites, nobles) in our society while still remaining loyal to their roots similar to frodo and sam in principle. But practically speaking, most of the young white middle-Americans who have the intelligence and temperament inclining them towards becoming elves end up heading off to leftist-dominated universities, where they are taught to become liberal cosmopolitans with little loyalty (if not active distain) for the place, people and culture that birthed them. Occasionally, we see examples of hobbits-turned-elves that rediscover their heritage later in life and become elite advocates for their people. J.D. Vance would be the most prominent example of this archetype at the moment. But such are unfortunately the exception, not the rule.

I like Yarvin and his analysis. I used to not like him. I think much of the negative response and opinions about him that come from this sphere are in large part due to the fact that he makes people here feel inferior and stupid and like simpletons conpared to the "elves". It makes him appear to them more smug than he already is, and of course hes a Jew, but he can stay. Many people need to accept the facts of their birth and circumstances; they aren't elites, and thats ok.

Imagine seeing the current British monarchy and state of the UK and still believing the American revolution was a mistake 🙄
@nzxtMonster
Ай бұрын
Two things can be true at once: the current monarchy is bad and letting democracy out of pandora's box is bad. The American project of limited govt is an abject failure. It became the largest, wealthiest, and most powerful organization in mankind's history and routinely did the exact opposite of what its voting populace wanted, and always for its own gain. Democracy = veil for oligarchy. Current UK monarchy = bad specifically because it doesnt challenge democratic (read as oligarchic) power.

There hasn't been a single "revolution" in history that wasn't a mistake, because revolution is always forceful, always aggressive and sudden. If something is truly short-lived and irrelevant, it will die out naturally and organically transform into something else. A bunch of leaders pushing the opposite narrative and violently forcing it into existence does not mean it's better or more "progressive".

Curtis Yarvin really makes me think. In rejecting the One Ring, the hobbits won the war by resisting the Marxist temptation in favour of Monarchy and Aristocracy. Not Democracy. Tolkien rejected Democracy because it makes people proud; it makes them think they are more than they are, like they have a right to rule, or something. Yet the Bible is not exactly pro-Monarchy either, and Protestants at least have long thought that we can do better. Just as there is supposed to be a priesthood of all believers (1 John 2:9), I guess the ideal Democracy is where every citizen does not think he has a right to rule so much as actually knows how to rule. Curtis the Wiley is teaching us how to rule.

Look I like some of Yarvin's analysis but how do people not recognize that at the end of the day this guy is an enemy? His worldview is that the right should not rule, and his strategy prescriptions are that the right should never use any of its power ever, with the promise that this is how you get more power. How can anyone buy this? His arguments on the 2022 midterms alone are an insane opportunity cost proposition. We give up on using the supreme court, an actual source of hard power with a dwindling time limit that can cause legitimate real change, in exchange for a 2 year temporary slight majority in the congress that will be continually be blocked when we try anything. To what ends, more nothing? We have had republicans run the "do nothing" strategy before, and I ask how did it work out for them? Did it deliver all kinds of patronage? Did it grow their power?

The thing is that he has a very valid point that there has not been a successful right wing movement in the last 200 years. They all fail sooner or later. Why should we be any different? And in that case, why should we not look at other strategies?
@joemerino3243
Ай бұрын
@@theaveragechannel5140 Firstly, it's not at all true that right wing movements have all failed. McCarthy crippled communism in the U.S. for decades. Pinochet's victory in his country was even greater. In the 90's, a strong pushback against 'political correctness' stymied wokeness until the 2010's. The problem is only that such people and such efforts have been too few, largely due to Rightist assumptions that God is on their side and all will be well. Secondly, his only 'other strategy' is literally to vote for Biden and encourage the left to become open despots. That's not what any right wing person would want, but it's exactly what someone like him would want.
@joemerino3243

@@theaveragechannel5140 My reply to this seems to have been Thanos-snapped by this platform. I'm not sure what key word filters I tripped. -There have been many extremely successful RW people in the last 200 years. Without their heroic action, the dystopia would be far worse today. -All movements fail sooner or later. LW movements fail, too. They are beaten back, delayed, or entirely denied. -CY's 'other strategies' consist of voting for Dem candidates and declaring them explicitly to be our emperors. That's not a clever other strategy, that's just a LW guy posing as a reactionary and telling RWers that the smart thing is to totally give up.
@Botzu
Ай бұрын
@@theaveragechannel5140 I'm not saying you shouldn't look at other strategies. I am saying his strategies specifically won't work. If I was to be less charitable about them I would go further and say they are designed to not work. Yarvin's endgame plan is to try and convince some of the reasonable current elites to rule as monarchs. That won't happen until the left feels comfortable enough with their power to consider fighting amongst themselves. Therefore, his strategies of calling on conservatives to do nothing feed into that, not for any plan to build this strong right wing movement, but because he wants us to roll over and play dead so the left elites can ignore us. Theres a thousand reasons why this wont work, key among them is there is no incentives on the left to become turncoats, and because Yarvin himself has no sway with the left. They think he is cook and don't listen to him, check any interview between Yarvin and a leftist. Ultimately, he is promising a plan he can't deliver on.
